- A cute Valentine box.
- Succulent of different sizes and colors.
- Toppings (optional).

Step 1: The first step is fill the box with cactus mix most of the way. We want to make sure our little succulents stay healthy after the holiday time so we do not use cuttings for this DIY. If you don't grow succulents but love this project idea, you can also experience with succulent clippings. Make sure you let them callous well before insert succulents in soil.

Step 2: Prepare the succulents by removing excess soil in the succulent roots.
Step 3: Arrange your succulent: This is a fun part and it is totally up to you to decorate the succulents as you like. Carefully place the succulents in the soil. Here we begin with bigger rosette succulents.Then, filling the remaining spots with smaller succulents.
Step 4: Add toppings to add a festive vibe to the box. If you use shredded wood, remember to remove it after holiday time to avoid any kind of root rot.
Now our adorable succulent heart is complete. This is a very simple and fun project. You can keep your succulent as long as 2-3 days if it is a paper box. In case you get a heart-shaped succulent planter with drainage hole, you can just plant the succulents into that box and they will continue to thrive.
