  • Epiphyllum anguliger - Fishbone Cactus or Ric Rac Cactus, is a striking epiphytic (tree-dwelling) cactus from Mexico with long, trailing stems that somewhat resemble rib cages. This cactus has smooth green skin and extensively branched stems. The primary stems are often woody. Secondary stems are flat and succulent, 20–30 cm long, 3–5 cm wide, and deeply lobed.

The Fishbone Cactus will only produce flowers once it reaches 3 years old. Plus, their bloom time only lasts for a few days. It blooms occasionally in the fall with fragrant, white and cream flowers that open at night.

All of the plants will be shipped bare root.
  • Above 50°F (10°C) is ideal.

Repot every year because this is a fast-growing big-sized plant.

*** All of our packages are sterilized before leaving the door.
  • We only ship out beautiful, healthy plants! Please track your package and open it immediately upon arrival. If you receive your package and are not satisfied, please message us immediately. Fragile plants such as bearpaw, baby toe, etc. may break or loose a few of their leaves during transport. Please contact us for replacements if your plants are severely damaged. We'll try our best to accommodate you. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grown in, depending on availability or time of year.
  • Provide porous soil with adequate drainage, pots with drainage hole are recommended. Bright, filtered light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Never let your succulents sit in water. Do NOT water on the leaves. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour off any excess water after a few minutes. The hotter it is outside, the faster your soil will dry out, so you’ll need to water more often if you live in a hot area. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended periods; protect from frost to prevent scarring.

Great deal for a novel succulent!

I saw this type of cactus at a local garden center, but they wanted $60 for a 4" pot. No way! I decided to look online and found this deal after comparing to several others. I received 5 healthy starts in a short time and they are now happily growing in my south-facing window.

Ric Rak awesomeness

Loved that my order came as bare root - I was able to create a pot for myself and my daughter. So excited to watch it grow! I was very pleased with the packaging and speed I received my order. I will definitely be ordering again!!!
