  • Crassula Brevifolia, native to South Africa, has thick, fleshy, triangulated green leaves with a rough, fuzzy texture borne on woody branches.

It grows small shrubs of up to 20 inches (50 cm) tall. The leaves will get a red-brown margin in full sun.

Pale pink flower clusters bloom in early fall.

All of the plants may be shipped bare root.
  • Full Sun, Sun to Partial Shade, Light Shade.

Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch, then let drain completely. Avoid letting water sit for too long in the soil to prevent rot and fungal diseases.

Porous and well-drained. Optimal pH is around 6.0 (slightly acidic).

Average summer temperatures from 65ºF/18ºC to 70ºF/21ºC are ideal. In winter, it can survive temperatures as low as 50ºF/10ºC.

Feed with a controlled-release fertilizer at the beginning of the growing season.

You can propagate Crassula Brevifolia by division, offsets or leaf cuttings. The easiest way is to propagate from a single leaf: put the leaf in a succulent or cacti mix, then cover until it sprouts.

  • We only ship out beautiful, healthy plants! Please track your package and open it immediately upon arrival. If you receive your package and are not satisfied, please message us immediately. Fragile plants such as bearpaw, baby toe, etc. may break or loose a few of their leaves during transport. Please contact us for replacements if your plants are severely damaged. We'll try our best to accommodate you. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grown in, depending on availability or time of year.
  • Provide porous soil with adequate drainage, pots with drainage hole are recommended. Bright, filtered light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Never let your succulents sit in water. Do NOT water on the leaves. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour off any excess water after a few minutes. The hotter it is outside, the faster your soil will dry out, so you’ll need to water more often if you live in a hot area. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended periods; protect from frost to prevent scarring.

Love my Succulent

Before I placed my order I reached out to Succulents Box for help with my other plant. They took the time to share tips with me. That’s when I knew this was the company I wanted to do business with. My succulents arrived in perfect condition with more than enough soil. I will forever be a customer of Succulents Box.

very healthy plant arrived, doing beautifully

This was my first order with Succulents Box and I’m very happy with the experience. The Crassula Brevifolia arrived in excellent condition, it actually had blooms, which was so nice to see. It came packaged very nicely and with a little care card, which was helpful. I totally overlooked where it says these plants are shipped bare root, so I wasn’t quite prepared to pot them up upon receipt. That was my mistake, but I thought I would mention it in case anyone else overlooked that detail. I just put them in a dark place on a tray and lightly misted them for a couple days until I could pot them. My new brevifolia is now doing great in a south facing window under a grow light, along with the donkey’s tail and giant watch chain I also got from Succulents Box. I will definitely order again!
