  • Sedum Dasyphyllum Major, also known as Corsican Stonecrop or Blue Tears Sedum, is a quick-to-grow evergreen succulent. This little ground cover sedum features adorable blue-green foliage with long branching stems and tiny round leaves. Sedum Dasyphyllum Major can withstand light foot traffic, making it an excellent low-water lawn substitute. You can trim it back to create a dense mat and leave the trimmings to root & grow into new plants.

At maturity, it can reach 6” high and 15” across.

From summer to fall, clusters of delicate star-shaped white flowers will bloom.

This sedum is absolutely perfect for a green roof, rock garden, parking strip or for filling in a large container.

This sedum needs well-draining soil but will tolerate clay. It is fine with low or no water once established. It does attract butterflies!

*** The size options are represtentative of pots that the plants come in. Sometimes customer may receive multiple plants instead of a large one to make up size.

*** All of our packages are sterilized before leaving the door.
  • We only ship out beautiful, healthy plants! Please track your package and open it immediately upon arrival. If you receive your package and are not satisfied, please message us immediately. Fragile plants such as bearpaw, baby toe, etc. may break or loose a few of their leaves during transport. Please contact us for replacements if your plants are severely damaged. We'll try our best to accommodate you. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grown in, depending on availability or time of year.
  • Provide porous soil with adequate drainage, pots with drainage hole are recommended. Bright, filtered light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Never let your succulents sit in water. Do NOT water on the leaves. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour off any excess water after a few minutes. The hotter it is outside, the faster your soil will dry out, so you’ll need to water more often if you live in a hot area. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended periods; protect from frost to prevent scarring.

Sedum Major

I was surprised at how well the succulents where shipped. I included a before and after picture. I bought the 4 inch one. It is very delicate and I had to handle it with much care to replant. I had ordered a bunch of succulents and at first planted them all in one pot. However, since this succulent was smaller and I paired them with bigger ones that required more water it wasn't doing as well. In the after picture you can see I had to plant it alone in a small terracotta pot until it gets stronger. I didn't find this one as easy to care for compared to other succulents I bought. Just keep in mind size of each plant if planting together. All in all it's a beautiful plant and I hope I can give it better care.

Sedum major and bear paw

This is plant caught my eye. I love the sedum family of plants burros tail by far my favorite. But this mini guy...is great for extra foliage just so soil isnt bare around succulents. I had a couple tries at this...do not mist this one. Needs to be cared for carefully dries out quick bcuz its so small but dont drowned it with water gotta find the amount start light. I found terrarium living to be best for it.
