  • Crassula arborescens subsp. undulatifolia is also known as Ripple Jade Crassula or Ruffle Jade Crassula (or sometimes as Lucky Plant or Money Tree).

It is a succulent shrub that grows up to 3 feet (90 cm) tall and forms elliptic, blue-grey, twisted and erect leaves with purple margins. It produces very stout succulent branches and a natural bonsai-like aspect with compact rounded heads of white star-like flowers.

All of the plants may be shipped bare root.
  • Minimum of 3 hours direct sunlight per day.

Well-Drained, Porous, Gritty. Optimal pH is around 6.0 (slightly acidic).

Average summer temperatures from 65ºF/18ºC to 70ºF/21ºC are ideal. In winter, it can survive temperatures as low as 50ºF/10ºC.

Feed once with a controlled-release fertilizer at the beginning of the growing season.

You can propagate Ruffle Jade Crassula by division, offsets or leaf cuttings. The easiest way is to propagate from a single leaf: put the leaf in a succulent or cacti mix, then cover until it sprouts.

  • We only ship out beautiful, healthy plants! Please track your package and open it immediately upon arrival. If you receive your package and are not satisfied, please message us immediately. Fragile plants such as bearpaw, baby toe, etc. may break or loose a few of their leaves during transport. Please contact us for replacements if your plants are severely damaged. We'll try our best to accommodate you. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grown in, depending on availability or time of year.
  • Provide porous soil with adequate drainage, pots with drainage hole are recommended. Bright, filtered light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Never let your succulents sit in water. Do NOT water on the leaves. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour off any excess water after a few minutes. The hotter it is outside, the faster your soil will dry out, so you’ll need to water more often if you live in a hot area. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended periods; protect from frost to prevent scarring.

Ruffle Jade

Absolutely love this! Packaged so carefully. I was a little worried I waited to long plant it but as soon as I did it perked right up. Such a great company. Will definitely keep buying from them.

Love the unique color!

FAST SHIPPING. Took 3 days. Upon opening, I was surprised to see three little ruffle jades. However, I was nervous because they were EXTREMELY dehydrated. The worst case of dehydration without being dead I had seen! They were terribly wrinkly and just seemed to have shrunken. I planted them, soaked them completely, and waited. It's been about 4 weeks now, and they've filled out beautifully and have completely recovered. They are now very healthy and happy, and only 2 leaves had died and fallen off between the three I'd received. Their shape and ruffled leaves are really pretty and cute, and the color makes them even better. If you recieve them dehydrated, don't worry, it's a simply fix in succulents, and be patient. It will take a few weeks for them to recover upon opening!

Fast shipping!

Extremely fast shipping. I received (to my surprise) 3 plants. All of them were EXTREMELY dehydrated, though, and dull and sad upon arrival. However it's been 9 days and they are looking much, much better. They are still recovering, some leaves still have that wrinkly appearance from their dehydrated journey, but their healthy color of blue/gray leaves have come back. Cute little guys and I really like the color of them.
