Two Assorted Tillandsia Plants with Large White Ceramic Hanging Pod
Sold Out$44.00
These two assorted live Tillandsia air plants are fascinating, soil-free epiphytes that absorb water and nutrients directly through their textured, trichome-covered leaves rather than through roots.
Foliage varies among species, from thin, needle-like leaves to broad, flat leaves, often with a silvery or fuzzy appearance due to trichomes.
Though prized for their general structure, air plants do bloom, and frequently change coloring throughout the year in response to biological cues.
Tillandsia air plants grow differently than most other houseplants, yet they are really very hardy and require much less attention than other houseplants.
This elegantly designed large white ceramic hanging pod features three open sides, allowing you to view your plants from multiple angles and ensuring the essential air circulation that Tillandsia need to thrive. The pod can be hung on a wall or placed on any flat surface, making it a versatile and modern display piece for any room.
Air plants should be kept where they will receive bright, indirect sunlight or under fluorescent home and office lighting.
A 20 to 30 minute weekly soak is recommended for most air plant species, with supplemental misting as needed;
after soaking,
gently shake the excess water from the plants and set them out in good air circulation to air dry upside down, letting all trapped water run out and dry.

Provide porous soil with adequate drainage, pots with drainage hole are recommended. Bright, filtered
light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Never let your succulents sit in water. Do
NOT water on the leaves. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour
off any excess water after a few minutes.
The hotter it is outside, the faster your soil will dry out, so you’ll need to water more often if you live in a hot
area. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended
periods; protect from frost to prevent scarring.
