Tillandsia Xerographica, widely known as the King of Air Plants, is a showstopping epiphyte celebrated for its broad, silvery-gray to light green leaves that spiral outward in a dramatic rosette shape. This slow-growing, soil-free plant absorbs all its moisture and nutrients directly through its trichome-covered leaves, making it one of the most low-maintenance and forgiving air plants you can own. It is pet-friendly, non-toxic, and even releases oxygen at night through its unique CAM photosynthesis process, making it as functional as it is beautiful. With proper care, this long-lived specimen can thrive for up to 20 years, earning its place as a true heirloom plant in any home.

This elegantly designed large white ceramic hanging pod showcases the Xerographica from three open sides, allowing you to appreciate its sculptural form from multiple angles. The modern ceramic construction can be suspended from a wall or ceiling as a hanging display, or set flat on any surface as a striking tabletop accent, making it as versatile in placement as it is refined in style.

Place your Xerographica in bright, indirect light near a window, rotating it occasionally for even exposure, and mist it two to three times a week while giving it a full soak every one to two weeks. After soaking, gently shake out any excess water and allow the plant to dry upside down in a well-ventilated spot to prevent rot at the base.

  • Provide porous soil with adequate drainage, pots with drainage hole are recommended. Bright, filtered light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Never let your succulents sit in water. Do NOT water on the leaves. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour off any excess water after a few minutes. The hotter it is outside, the faster your soil will dry out, so you’ll need to water more often if you live in a hot area. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended periods; protect from frost to prevent scarring.
