    •   Euphorbia 'Trigona Rubra', also called African Milk Tree, is a succulent shrub native to central Africa with thick, triangular stems and an upright form. The plant belongs to the Euphorbia genus, a large family of succulents known for their architectural presence and low water needs.

        The stems of 'Rubra' are deep forest green with white variegation running along the ridges, creating vivid contrast that intensifies in strong light. The plant grows with a columnar, tree-like structure, developing multiple branches as it matures, and typically reaches 3 to 6 feet tall indoors over time. Small leaves emerge along the stems but are often sparse, allowing the geometric form of the plant to take center stage. The growth pattern is slow, so the plant maintains its shape without frequent pruning.

        'Rubra' produces small yellow flowers in spring under ideal conditions, though flowering is uncommon indoors and blooms may not appear reliably. The plant is grown primarily for its architectural foliage and stem structure rather than its flowers. Its sculptural form and low-water tolerance suit modern interiors and minimalist plant collections.
