    •   Snake Laurentii Dwarf, also called Dwarf Laurentii Snake Plant, is a compact succulent from West Africa with variegated foliage and air-purifying ability. It belongs to the Sansevieria genus and grows as a low, spreading rosette suited to tight spaces and indoor environments.

The leaves are upright and sword-shaped, deep green with yellow or cream-colored edges running the length of each blade. 'Dwarf Laurentii' stays considerably shorter than its parent cultivar, typically reaching 12 to 18 inches tall, and forms dense clusters over time. The variegation intensifies in direct sun, while the foliage remains visible even in low-light corners where many houseplants fade.

Small tubular flowers appear in spring, pale yellow or greenish-white in color, though blooms are rare indoors. The plant is primarily grown for its variegated foliage rather than its flowers, and produces pollen that can trigger allergies in sensitive individuals. 'Dwarf Laurentii' filters formaldehyde and toxins from indoor air and releases oxygen at night.

The plant grows well under office LED lighting and tolerates direct sun, though south-facing windows can scorch the leaves if placed too close to the glass. You can leave it up to ten days without water. The foliage is mildly toxic, so keep it on a high shelf out of reach of cats and dogs, and away from small children. Propagation is simple: allow leaf cuttings to dry for two days, then bury them partially in cactus soil where they root within four to six weeks.

    •   Snake Laurentii Dwarf grows well in direct sun, bright indirect light, and low-light conditions; it grows well under office LEDs but scorches in direct south windows.

Water it when the soil surface is dry; during spring and summer this typically means every 10-14 days, extending intervals in winter as growth naturally slows.

'Dwarf Laurentii' does best in well-draining cactus or succulent soil, or regular potting soil amended with perlite to prevent waterlogging.

It prefers temperatures between 60°F and 80°F and tolerates dry heated air and drafty spots without stress.

'Dwarf Laurentii' is a slow-growing succulent that rarely requires feeding; fertilize once in spring with diluted liquid cactus fertilizer if desired.

It is hardy in USDA zones 11 and 12, where it grows outdoors year-round without frost protection. It tolerates no freezing temperatures and must be brought indoors if temperatures drop below 50°F. It grows outdoors in southern Florida, coastal California, southern Texas, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico year-round.

    • Q: How often should Snake Laurentii Dwarf be watered?
A: The soil surface dries at different rates depending on season. In spring and summer, check every 7-10 days; in winter, the soil dries more slowly and checking every two weeks is sufficient. Water only when the soil is completely dry.

Q: Can it survive in low light?
A: Yes. It grows well in low-light conditions and under office fluorescent lighting, though the yellow variegation on the leaf edges may be less pronounced than in brighter spots.

Q: Is 'Dwarf Laurentii' safe for pets?
A: No. The foliage is mildly toxic and should be kept out of reach of cats and dogs; it is also best placed away from small children.

Q: How fast does 'Dwarf Laurentii' grow?
A: It is a slow-growing succulent that may add only a few inches per year indoors, remaining compact and suitable for shelves or desks without frequent pruning.

Q: Can Dwarf Laurentii Snake Plant be propagated at home?
A: Yes. Cut off individual leaves, let them dry for two days, then lay or insert them partially into cactus soil where they root within four to six weeks under indirect light.

Q: Does Dwarf Laurentii Snake Plant purify indoor air?
A: Yes. It filters formaldehyde and toxins from the air and releases oxygen at night, making it effective in bedrooms and home offices.

    🌿 For Houseplants
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging as soon as possible and review the care instructions included with your order. Water based on your plant’s needs, making sure not to overwater.
Houseplants may need a short adjustment period after arrival. Give your plant time to acclimate to its new space before placing it with other plants. You can gently clean the leaves if needed, and wait to fertilize until it has settled in. Always check soil moisture instead of watering on a fixed schedule.
*** We pack carefully to protect each plant during transit, so larger orders may arrive in multiple packages.
