  •   Sempervivum Colorockz 'Coral Red' is a cold hardy succulent in the Crassulaceae family, also called houseleek, bred within the popular Colorockz series for exceptional color and garden performance. This genus originates from the mountainous regions of Europe and western Asia, where it grows in rocky, well-drained soils under full sun and has been cultivated for centuries as a tough plant grown on rooftops and rock walls.

Colorockz Coral Red forms tight, symmetrical rosettes in a coral-red hue that deepens with sun exposure and cooler temperatures. The fleshy, pointed leaves arrange in a classic geometric spiral, giving it an almost architectural appearance. With its clustering growth habit, it produces offsets freely, spreading into a dense, colorful mat over time that spreads across containers and garden beds.

Like all houseleek succulents, Colorockz Coral Red blooms in summer with star-shaped flowers that rise from mature rosettes on tall stalks. A night temperature drop in spring can encourage the bloom cycle. After flowering, the parent rosette completes its life cycle naturally, while the surrounding offsets carry on the display without interruption.

Colorockz Coral Red handles balcony wind and rain while staying outdoors in autumn and tolerates frost. It survives dry heated indoor air and can be left alone for up to ten days without watering. The plant is completely safe around cats and dogs.

  •   Sempervivum Colorockz 'Coral Red' grows well in partial to full sun, needing at least four to six hours of direct sun daily and regular rotating indoors for even rosette growth.

Water it every ten to fourteen days during the growing season, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings and reducing to once a month in winter.

Colorockz Coral Red does best in a fast-draining succulent or cactus mix blended with coarse perlite or grit at roughly a 1:1 ratio to prevent root rot.

It tolerates a wide temperature range from around 10°F up to 90°F, making it a frost hardy perennial for outdoor growing.

Colorockz Coral Red is a moderate to slow grower that needs little to no fertilizer, though a single diluted succulent feed in early spring can boost offset production.

It is hardy in USDA zones 4 through 9, tolerating frost down to around -30°F at the lower end of that range. It grows outdoors year-round across Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and California.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
