Like other pothos varieties, it originates from the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, where it climbs and trails through warm, humid environments. This low maintenance houseplant has earned serious collector appeal, and its unusual leaf form sets it apart from every other vining houseplant in the genus.

        Pothos 'Shangri La' is instantly recognizable by its distinctively curled, cupped leaves that fold inward along the midrib, giving it a crinkled, sleeping appearance that inspired its nickname "sleeping pothos." The foliage is a rich, dark green with a slightly textured surface, and each leaf holds its sculptural curl even as the plant matures.
