      •   Lipstick 'Bolero Bicolore', also called Variegated Lipstick Plant, is a trailing houseplant from the Aeschynanthus genus native to Southeast Asian rainforests. It belongs to the Gesneriaceae family and grows as an epiphytic plant, naturally draping from tree branches in humid, filtered-light environments.

          The plant develops long, trailing stems lined with small, oval leaves that are forest green with white variegation along the edges and centers. The foliage grows densely along the stems, creating a full, cascading appearance when mature. Each leaf is about 1–2 inches long and has a soft texture.

          'Bolero Bicolore' produces tubular flowers in vivid red with contrasting yellow or orange markings that appear throughout the year, though blooming is most prolific in spring and summer. The flowers develop at the stem tips and have a slight waxy texture typical of lipstick plants. To encourage consistent blooming, the plant needs a night temperature drop of 5–10°F, which simulates its natural tropical monsoon rhythm.

          This variegated lipstick plant grows well in hanging baskets where its trailing stems cascade, or on high shelves and terrariums where humidity stays elevated.
