    •   Hoya Obovata is a tropical wax plant native to Southeast Asia. It is a trailing houseplant known for its fleshy, oval-shaped leaves and is common among both beginner and collector plant enthusiasts.

        The leaves are small, round, and forest green with white variegation that varies from plant to plant. It grows as a trailing vine with pairs of leaves arranged along the stems, making it suited to hanging baskets or high shelves where the stems can extend. The foliage remains compact on young plants but spreads wider as it matures.

        Hoya Obovata produces clusters of waxy, star-shaped flowers that bloom white with vivid pink or red centers during the growing season. The flowers carry a light fragrance and emerge from the leaf axils as the plant establishes itself. It grows well near kitchen moisture and other humid indoor spaces, where it flowers over time.

        Move it outside in summer once temperatures stay above 60°F, and bring it back indoors before autumn cools. Place it in a hanging basket or on a high shelf out of reach of pets and children.
