Euphorbia African Milk Tree

Size
  •  Euphorbia Trigona f. Rubra is native to Africa. It is an unusual succulent that is often mistaken for a cactus because of its interesting shape and short sharp spines.

It is low maintenance and can be grown as an indoor plant.

The sap of Euphorbia Trigona f. Rubra is toxic, so protection is needed when propagating this succulent. Make sure that the sap doesn't get in touch with your skin or eye because it can cause serious irritation.

All of the plants will be shipped bare root.
  •  Full Sun, Partial Sun.

Sand mix succulent soil, porous and well-draining soil.

Water weekly during the summer whenever the soil feels dry. Avoid letting the plant sit in wet soil.

     White, Near White.

  • Your plant will be meticulously bubblewrapped and shipped in a sturdy box. Most of the plants will be shipped bare-root to ensure their safety. If you want to receive the plastic pot & soil, please leave a note in your order. When opening your package, some soil may be loose in the box. Plant orders are shipped within 3-5 days depending on availability of the plant. We ship our plants Monday through Friday, all twelve months of the year! If you need your order urgently, please message us so we can upgrade your shipping (additional cost applied). Here is our blog about the shipping process and packaging. We do not ship outside of the continental United States.

*** All of our packages are sterilized before leaving the door.
  • We only ship out beautiful, healthy plants! Please track your package and open it immediately upon arrival. If you receive your package and are not satisfied, please message us immediately. Fragile plants such as bearpaw, baby toe, etc. may break or loose a few of their leaves during transport. Please contact us for replacements if your plants are severely damaged. We'll try our best to accommodate you. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grown in, depending on availability or time of year.
  • Provide porous soil with adequate drainage, pots with drainage hole are recommended. Bright, filtered light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Never let your succulents sit in water. Do NOT water on the leaves. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour off any excess water after a few minutes. The hotter it is outside, the faster your soil will dry out, so you’ll need to water more often if you live in a hot area. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended periods; protect from frost to prevent scarring.

Beautiful and great size.

I ordered the 6” plant because the smaller ones were out of stock. This is so much bigger than 6”! I’d also like to note Succulents Box shipped it to me 12/3 and I didn’t receive it until 12/24, due to extremely delayed mail. I was afraid to open it and find a dead plant, but much to my surprise, it’s still very healthy. Thank you SB!

Best day ever!

It came so fast that I was shocked to find it in my mailbox. It came safely wrapped and in perfect condition. Thank you! Oh, and for Ruth and others who are confused all cacti are succulents but not all succulents are cacti. :)

Strange plant, doesn't know if it is a cactus or succulent

I love the plants and the service. One plant was damaged in transit and died. I sent a photo to Succulent Box and they replaced it. I'm happy with my new hobby.

Uniquely Beautiful

Love my little Euphorbia African Milk Tree! It adds such a unique element to my arrangement. It arrived in good condition (though was completely bare of leaves) and while initially it did not show any signs of growth, it finally hand a nice healthy growth spurt in the past few weeks!
