  •   Echeveria 'Rosetta Serra' is a succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to the semi-arid highlands of Mexico and Central America where it evolved to grow in bright sun and fast-draining soil. The genus Echeveria has long been grown by beginner plant parents and collectors seeking low-maintenance indoor greenery.

'Rosetta Serra' forms a symmetrical rosette of plump, spoon-shaped leaves in soft lime green, often flushed with peachy-pink at the tips when exposed to plenty of light. The foliage has a powdery farina coating that gives the rosette a refined, almost sculptural appearance. As a clustering grower, it gradually offsets to form a tidy colony of rosettes over time.

It produces slender arching stems tipped with small bell-shaped flowers, a typical trait of the genus that emerges when the plant experiences a distinct drop in night temperatures. It also releases oxygen at night.

'Rosetta Serra' works as a desk succulent, windowsill accent, or patio container plant. Move it outside in summer to soak up natural sun. Bring it back indoors before heavy rain arrives, as prolonged moisture on the rosette causes rot. You can leave it up to ten days without water. It tolerates dry heated air. It is non-toxic to cats and dogs.

  •   Echeveria 'Rosetta Serra' grows well in bright indirect light, partial sun, or full sun near an east or west-facing window.

Water it deeply every 10-14 days in summer and cut back to once every 3-4 weeks in winter.

'Rosetta Serra' performs best in a gritty, fast-draining cactus and perlite mix in roughly a 50/50 ratio.

It prefers temperatures between 60-80°F and should be protected from frost below 32°F.

'Rosetta Serra' is a slow to moderate grower that benefits from diluted balanced fertilizer once monthly in spring and summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9-11, tolerating brief dips to around 25°F with protection but thriving best frost-free. It grows outdoors year-round across California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and along the mild Oregon and Washington coasts. Parts of New Mexico, Arkansas, and coastal North Carolina also support outdoor cultivation.
  • Q: How often should I water Echeveria 'Rosetta Serra'?
A: Let the soil dry out completely between waterings. In winter, extend the interval to every 3-4 weeks to prevent rot from sitting in moisture.

Q: Is this succulent safe for pets?
A: Echeveria 'Rosetta Serra' is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

Q: How much light does 'Rosetta Serra' need?
A: It adapts well to bright indirect light, partial sun, or full sun. Rotate it regularly so all sides receive even light exposure.

Q: How large does it get?
A: 'Rosetta Serra' typically reaches 3-5 inches across as a single rosette, though it clusters over time to form a wider colony.

Q: How do I propagate 'Rosetta Serra'?
A: Remove the offsets that form at the base of the mother rosette and pot them in dry, gritty soil. Leaf propagation is also possible, though offsets root more reliably and faster.

Q: Why is it considered rare?
A: 'Rosetta Serra' is not commonly found in big-box garden centers. Its lime-green rosette form appeals to collectors seeking plants beyond typical mass-market selections.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
