  •   Echeveria 'Rosetta Cariba' is a compact succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to the semi-arid highlands of Mexico and Central America. It forms a tight rosette of layered leaves and adapts equally well to indoor windowsills and outdoor gardens.

The leaves are plump and spoon-shaped, arranged in symmetrical tiers that create an upright, sculptural form. Foliage ranges from purple and pink to dusty rose, with deeper carmine edges that intensify under bright light. The rosette stays compact and tidy, never sprawling, so it works as a standalone centerpiece or grouped with other succulents.

In late winter or spring, 'Rosetta Cariba' produces small, bell-shaped flowers in warm tones that rise on arching stems above the rosette. A slight drop in nighttime temperatures during autumn and early winter encourages blooming. The plant needs bright light and slightly drier soil during this period to set buds successfully.

Rotate the pot regularly so all sides of the rosette develop evenly and color deepens across the entire plant. Move it outdoors in summer to a warm, sheltered spot with bright light, but protect it from heavy rain. In frost-prone regions, bring it indoors before temperatures drop. 'Rosetta Cariba' is non-toxic to cats and dogs, making it safe for pet households.

  •   Echeveria 'Rosetta Cariba' grows well in bright indirect light with some morning direct sun; harsh south-facing afternoon sun can scorch the leaves.

Water it using the soak-and-dry method, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings, roughly every 10 to 14 days indoors.

'Rosetta Cariba' grows well in fast-draining succulent soil, a mix of coarse sand, perlite, and quality cactus potting mix.

It prefers temperatures between 60 and 80°F and should be protected from frost below 25°F.

'Rosetta Cariba' is a slow to moderate grower that needs minimal fertilizing, once in spring and once in early summer at half strength.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11 and tolerates brief freezes down to 25°F. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Nevada, most of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Hawaii. In Oregon's coastal areas, it can grow outdoors with protection in winter, while growers in cooler states can enjoy it as a summer patio plant and winter indoor succulent.
  • Q: Is Echeveria 'Rosetta Cariba' pet friendly?
A: It is non-toxic to cats and dogs.

Q: What window direction works best for this plant?
A: East or west-facing windows are ideal. Echeveria 'Rosetta Cariba' develops the deepest colors with bright indirect light and gentle morning sun, and afternoon scorching happens in intense south-facing windows.

Q: How do I encourage 'Rosetta Cariba' to bloom?
A: Give it a slight temperature drop at night during late autumn and winter, keep it in bright light, and reduce watering slightly during that period.

Q: Can I leave it unwatered during a short trip?
A: You can leave it without water for 10 to 14 days.

Q: Does 'Rosetta Cariba' need frequent repotting?
A: No, it grows slowly and only needs repotting every two to three years or when it outgrows its pot.

Q: What does overwatering look like?
A: The leaves become translucent or mushy, and the base may rot. 'Rosetta Cariba' is far more prone to rot from excess water than from drought, so err on the side of drying out completely between waterings.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
