  •   Echeveria 'Lovely Grey' is a drought tolerant succulent belonging to the Crassulaceae family, prized for its distinctive silvery foliage and architectural rosette form. This rare succulent originates from the mountainous regions of Mexico, where echeverias naturally thrive in rocky, well-draining environments.

This grey succulent forms tight, symmetrical rosettes of thick, fleshy leaves that showcase stunning silvery-blue coloration with subtle lavender undertones. The leaves of Echeveria 'Lovely Grey' are spoon-shaped with pointed tips, creating an elegant sculptural appearance that catches light beautifully throughout the day. Each rosette typically reaches 4-6 inches across, with leaves arranged in perfect geometric patterns that make this architectural plant a true standout.

Echeveria 'Lovely Grey' produces delicate bell-shaped flowers in coral-pink to orange hues on tall, arching stems during late spring and early summer. The blooms emerge from the center of the rosette and may require a night temperature drop to encourage flowering. This pet friendly plant grows well under office LEDs and needs rotating for even growth to maintain its perfect symmetry.

This easy care rosette succulent excels as an indoor plant gift and thrives in office environments or bright windowsills. Echeveria 'Lovely Grey' can move outside for summer but needs cover from rain to prevent root rot. The plant tolerates dry heated air while remaining sensitive to direct AC or heater airflow, and it remarkably survives 10-day trips alone, making it perfect for busy plant lovers and collectors seeking low maintenance rarities.

  •   Echeveria 'Lovely Grey' thrives in bright indirect light and tolerates direct morning sun beautifully.

Water Echeveria 'Lovely Grey' deeply every 10-14 days, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings.

Echeveria 'Lovely Grey' requires well-draining cactus mix combined with perlite for optimal root health.

Echeveria 'Lovely Grey' prefers temperatures between 65-80°F (18-27°C) and cannot tolerate frost below 32°F (0°C).

Echeveria 'Lovely Grey' grows slowly and needs diluted succulent fertilizer only 2-3 times during growing season.

Echeveria 'Lovely Grey' thrives in USDA hardiness zones 9-11 and cannot survive frost below 32°F (0°C). These zones include Florida, California, Texas, Arizona, Hawaii, Louisiana, southern Georgia, coastal South Carolina, southern Nevada, coastal Oregon, southern Alabama, southern Mississippi, and parts of North Carolina. In these warm climates, this drought tolerant succulent can remain outdoors year-round with proper drainage and protection from excessive rainfall.

  • Provide porous soil with adequate drainage, pots with drainage hole are recommended. Bright, filtered light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Never let your succulents sit in water. Do NOT water on the leaves. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour off any excess water after a few minutes. The hotter it is outside, the faster your soil will dry out, so you’ll need to water more often if you live in a hot area. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended periods; protect from frost to prevent scarring.
