    •   Crassula Congesta Green Beans is a compact succulent from the Crassulaceae family, native to the rocky, arid regions of South Africa. It has adapted to grow in dry, well-draining environments with plenty of sunshine, making it a straightforward addition to indoor and outdoor plant collections.

        The plant earns its name from its plump, bean-shaped leaves that stack tightly along upright stems in a clumping growth habit. Each leaf is deep green with a dense, chunky texture that gives this succulent its signature chubby appearance. The stems form neat columns that remain distinct from every angle, and the overall form stays compact and manageable.

        Small, star-shaped flowers cluster at the stem tips, particularly when nighttime temperatures drop during cooler months. The blooms add seasonal interest, though the plant maintains its sculptural form year-round whether flowering or not.

        Move it outside in summer to a bright, sheltered spot, then bring it back indoors before heavy rains arrive to prevent root rot.
