Britton And Rose Cactus

Size
  • A miniature cactus, Gymnocalycium Mihanovichii, also known as Chin Cactus, is often grown as a houseplant.

It grows up to 1.6 inches (4 cm) tall and up to 2.4 inches (6 cm) in diameter.

Growing best in the summer, Gymnocalycium Mihanovichii produces large silky flowers with color ranging from white, yellowish white, greenish to pink.

All of the plants will be shipped bare root.
  • Bright light, but needs light shade during the hottest months of summer.

Water moderately in the summer but keep the cactus completely dry in the winter when temperatures are from 40 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit (5 to 15 degrees Celsius).

Porous, well-drained, do not let the cactus sit in soggy soil for more than a day or two.

    During the summer growing season.
  • USDA Zone from 9b: -3.8 °C (25 °F) to 11: 4.5 °C (40 °F)
  • Your plant will be meticulously bubblewrapped and shipped in a sturdy box. Most 2" plants are shipped in their original plastic pot with soil. Fragile and big 4" plants are shipped bareroot to ensure their safety. When opening your package, some soil may be loose in the box. Plant orders are shipped within 3-5 days depending on availability of the plant. We ship our plants Monday through Friday, all twelve months of the year! If you need your order urgently, please message us so we can upgrade your shipping (additional cost applied). Here is our blog about the shipping process and packaging. We do not ship outside of the continental United States.

*** All of our packages are sterilized before leaving the door.
  • We only ship out beautiful, healthy plants! Please track your package and open it immediately upon arrival. If you receive your package and are not satisfied, please message us immediately. Fragile plants such as bearpaw, baby toe, etc. may break or loose a few of their leaves during transport. Please contact us for replacements if your plants are severely damaged. We'll try our best to accommodate you. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grown in, depending on availability or time of year.
  • Provide porous soil with adequate drainage, pots with drainage hole are recommended. Bright, filtered light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Never let your succulents sit in water. Do NOT water on the leaves. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour off any excess water after a few minutes. The hotter it is outside, the faster your soil will dry out, so you’ll need to water more often if you live in a hot area. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended periods; protect from frost to prevent scarring.

So cute and so pretty

This little cactus bloomed with a few weeks! It is so pretty. There was a small bloom and then when I gave it more sunlight it opened completely - 2 beautiful flowers. I am curious to see how big this will grow.

This lovely little guy bloomed within two weeks of me receiving him. It brought such joy to a somewhat gloomy day!
