  •  Aeonium 'Mardi Gras' is a succulent that has yellow and green variegated rosettes and deep red to plum margins when received plenty of sunlight or placed in cool temperatures. It grows offsets readily. Its nickname 'Mardi Gras' comes from the multiple colors of the rosettes creating a carnival-like palette.

The magnificent tricolor variagation of Aeonium ‘Mardi Gras’ is absolutely cause for celebration. These effects may result in dark-red/burgundy shades versus creamier and lighter rose tones.

All of the plants will be shipped bare root
  •  Full sun, Partial sun, Partial shade.

     Porous and well-drained potting mix.

This plant only needs a low to moderate amount of water. Drought tolerant. Water thoroughly only when soil is dry to the touch, then let drain completely.

You can easily propagate Aeonium ‘Mardi Gras’ by stem cuttings .

Heat tolerant. Will not tolerate frost.

  • Your plant will be meticulously bubblewrapped and shipped in a sturdy box. Most 2" plants are shipped in their original plastic pot with soil. Fragile and big 4" plants are shipped bareroot to ensure their safety. When opening your package, some soil may be loose in the box. Plant orders are shipped within 3-5 days depending on availability of the plant. We ship our plants Monday through Friday, all twelve months of the year! If you need your order urgently, please message us so we can upgrade your shipping (additional cost applied). Here is our blog about the shipping process and packaging. We do not ship outside of the continental United States.
  • We only ship out beautiful, healthy plants! Please track your package and open it immediately upon arrival. If you receive your package and are not satisfied, please message us immediately. Fragile plants such as bearpaw, baby toe, etc. may break or loose a few of their leaves during transport. Please contact us for replacements if your plants are severely damaged. We'll try our best to accommodate you. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grown in, depending on availability or time of year.
  • Provide porous soil with adequate drainage, pots with drainage hole are recommended. Bright, filtered light and ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Never let your succulents sit in water. Do NOT water on the leaves. If you water from beneath by letting the plant sit in a saucer of water, make sure to pour off any excess water after a few minutes. The hotter it is outside, the faster your soil will dry out, so you’ll need to water more often if you live in a hot area. Water with caution in winter, as the plant can lose its roots if the soil stays cold and wet for extended periods; protect from frost to prevent scarring.

Oh the Colors!

This plant is simply beautiful. It came bare-root and almost "folded" in half. I was a little worried it might not come back... but it did. It is laying just right now. Brightening up my desk.

Aeonium Mardi Gras Rosette

Arrived in perfect condition and has grown and spread out under my grow lamps since then. I wanted more dark color like that shown in the picture, but a friend said to place it closer to the lamp since the bright light would bring out the leaf color more. I was impressed by the literature you have on line for newbies and plan on printing it out. Thank you! Barbara Rogers
