  •   Echeveria Gray Curl Succulent is a rosette succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to the semi-arid regions of Mexico and Central America. It evolved in bright, rocky terrain with excellent drainage, making it suitable for indoor or outdoor growing. It grows well with simple, consistent care.

'Gray Curl' forms a tight, symmetrical rosette of thick, spoon-shaped leaves in soft gray-green tones with gently curled or cupped tips. Each leaf has a powdery farina coating that adds a silvery sheen and helps protect the plant from intense light. The overall rosette stays compact and sculptural, remaining a manageable size on shelves, windowsills, or in succulent arrangements.

While blooming varies by growing conditions, 'Gray Curl' flowers more reliably when it experiences cooler night temperatures in autumn, so moving it near a window during that season can encourage flowering. It releases oxygen at night, making it practical for bedroom display year-round.

Move it outside for summer to soak up natural sun, though it needs cover from rain to protect the rosette and farina coating. It can survive up to ten days without water. It is pet friendly and safe to display on low shelves or coffee tables without concern. Keep it away from direct airflow from AC and heater vents, though it tolerates dry air well once settled in a stable spot.

  •   Echeveria Gray Curl Succulent grows well in bright indirect light to partial or full sun, ideally near an east or west-facing window.

Water it every 10-14 days in summer and every 3-4 weeks in winter, using the soak-and-dry method and letting soil dry completely between waterings.

'Gray Curl' does best in a fast-draining cactus and succulent mix amended with perlite or coarse sand.

It prefers temperatures between 60-80°F and should be protected from frost below 25°F.

'Gray Curl' is a slow to moderate grower and benefits from diluted balanced fertilizer once monthly during spring and summer.

It is hardy in USDA Zones 8-11 and tolerates brief dips to around 10-20°F in Zone 8 but performs best with frost protection. It grows outdoors in California, Texas, Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, coastal Oregon and Washington, and parts of Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia where winters stay relatively mild.
  • Q: Is Echeveria Gray Curl Succulent pet friendly?
A: It is non-toxic to cats and dogs and safe to display anywhere in your home.

Q: What window direction works best for this plant?
A: Echeveria Gray Curl Succulent grows well in east or west-facing windows; south-facing windows work too but may cause leaf scorching in intense midday sun if placed directly against glass.

Q: Can 'Gray Curl' survive a vacation without water?
A: Yes, it can easily survive up to ten days without being watered.

Q: How do I know when it needs water?
A: 'Gray Curl' will develop slightly soft or wrinkled leaves when thirsty; water thoroughly as soon as you notice this and it will perk back up quickly.

Q: Does 'Gray Curl' need to be rotated?
A: Rotating it every week or two ensures all sides receive even light and keeps the rosette growing symmetrically.

Q: Can it be moved outdoors in summer?
A: 'Gray Curl' can be moved outdoors, but provide cover from rain to keep the rosette dry and protect the powdery farina coating.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
