  •   Echeveria agavoides 'Miranda' is a succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to rocky hillsides and semi-arid regions of Mexico. It has adapted to grow in dry, bright conditions with minimal attention.

'Miranda' forms a tight, upright rosette of thick, triangular green leaves tipped with vivid reddish-pink points that deepen in bright light. The leaves have a smooth, waxy surface and a satisfying geometric symmetry. The contrast between the green body and the colorful tips makes it visually distinct on any shelf or windowsill.

It produces slender, arching stems topped with coral-to-red bell-shaped blooms, typically appearing in spring or early summer. A cool nighttime temperature drop encourages flowering, so moving 'Miranda' outdoors in late spring or to a cooler room in autumn can bring on blooms. It stays compact, typically reaching about 4 to 6 inches in diameter, and propagates easily from leaf cuttings or offsets that form at the base of a mature rosette.

'Miranda' is pet-friendly, so you can place it anywhere in your home without concern. It grows well as a patio plant or outdoor plant during summer months, though it needs cover from rain to prevent water pooling in the rosette. This drought-tolerant succulent handles dry, heated indoor air well. You can leave it up to ten days without water. It propagates easily from leaf cuttings or offsets that form at the base of a mature rosette.

  •   Echeveria agavoides 'Miranda' grows well in bright indirect light but scorches in harsh south-facing direct sun.

Water it deeply every 10-14 days in summer, cutting back significantly in winter when growth slows.

'Miranda' does best in a fast-draining cactus and perlite mix to prevent root rot.

It prefers temperatures between 65 and 80°F and cannot tolerate frost below 25°F.

'Miranda' is a slow to moderate grower needing only light balanced fertilizer once in spring.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9-11, tolerating brief dips to around 25°F but performing best with frost-free winters. It grows outdoors year-round in much of California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina, as well as the mild coastal areas of Oregon and Washington. Gardeners growing it outside these zones can still enjoy it year-round by bringing it indoors before the first frost.
  • Q: How often should I water Echeveria agavoides 'Miranda'?
A: During the growing season, water when the top inch of soil is dry. In winter, reduce watering to once every 3-4 weeks or less as growth slows significantly.

Q: Is it safe around pets?
A: Echeveria agavoides 'Miranda' is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

Q: Can 'Miranda' go outside in summer?
A: It thrives spending summer outdoors in a bright, sheltered spot. Keep it covered from heavy rain and avoid harsh midday sun to prevent leaf scorch.

Q: How big does it grow?
A: 'Miranda' typically grows into a rosette about 4 to 6 inches in diameter, staying compact and tidy for years.

Q: How do I propagate 'Miranda'?
A: Detach healthy leaves at the base or remove offsets from the rosette; allow cut ends to callous for a day or two, then place on dry, well-draining soil until roots form.

Q: Why is my plant leaning?
A: 'Miranda' grows toward its light source, so rotate the pot a quarter turn weekly to keep the rosette growing evenly and upright.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
