  •   Crested Cubic Frost Echeveria is a rare crested succulent from the Echeveria genus, native to the rocky highlands of Mexico where drought and intense sun shaped its exceptional tolerance for dry conditions. It develops a fan-like crested growth mutation instead of a single rosette, making every specimen one of a kind.

'Crested Cubic Frost' produces an undulating crest of densely packed rosettes in soft lilac, silvery blue, and pale pink tones that shift with light and temperature. The thick, cube-edged leaves have a powdery farina coating that gives it its signature frosted appearance, and the clumping, clustering habit creates a sculptural wave of color unlike any standard Echeveria.

When it blooms, slender arching stems produce small coral to pink bell-shaped flowers, typically in late spring to summer, with nighttime temperature drops tending to encourage flowering.

You can leave it up to ten days without water. Move it outside in summer on a bright patio or sunny windowsill, and rotate it regularly for even, symmetrical growth. Keep it away from direct AC or heater vents and shelter it from heavy rain. It is pet friendly and safe for cats and dogs.

  •   Crested Cubic Frost Echeveria grows well in bright indirect light to partial or full sun, ideally near an east or west-facing window.

Water it thoroughly every 10-14 days in summer, reducing to once every 3-4 weeks in winter, letting soil dry completely between waterings.

'Crested Cubic Frost' does best in a fast-draining cactus and perlite mix, roughly 50 percent gritty amendment to prevent root rot.

It prefers temperatures between 65-80°F and should be protected from frost below 25°F.

'Crested Cubic Frost' is a slow to moderate grower that benefits from a light balanced fertilizer once in spring and once in early summer.

It is hardy in USDA Zones 9-11, tolerating brief dips to around 25°F but performing best where hard freezes are rare. It grows outdoors year-round across California, Texas, Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, and Nevada, as well as the milder coastal stretches of Oregon and Washington. Elsewhere, including North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and beyond, it grows easily in containers that move outside for summer and come indoors before the first frost.
  • Q: How often should I water Crested Cubic Frost Echeveria?
A: Let the soil dry completely between waterings. In the growing season, that's every 10-14 days; in winter, stretch it to every 3-4 weeks.

Q: Is it safe around pets?
A: Crested Cubic Frost Echeveria is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

Q: What light does 'Crested Cubic Frost' need to maintain its color?
A: Bright indirect light to partial sun works well; an east or west-facing window is ideal. Intense afternoon sun on a south-facing exposure can scorch the leaves.

Q: How fast does it grow?
A: 'Crested Cubic Frost' is a slow to moderate grower, which makes each crested specimen a unique addition.

Q: Can 'Crested Cubic Frost' survive outdoors in cold climates?
A: In Zones 9-11 it lives outdoors year-round. Elsewhere, grow it in a container and bring it indoors before temperatures drop toward freezing.

Q: How do I propagate it?
A: Carefully separate offsets or clusters from the base of the crest and allow the cut ends to callous before potting in dry succulent mix. The crested mutation does not always pass to leaf cuttings, so offset division gives the most reliable results.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
