  •   Syngonium Gold Allusion, also called the gold allusion arrowhead plant, is a trailing vine from the Araceae family native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America. In its native habitat, it climbs trees and scrambles across the forest floor, a habit that translates into a naturally vining growth pattern indoors.

The leaves are soft, arrowhead-shaped blades in warm golden-green tones with pink veining that catches the light. Juvenile foliage tends to be more compact and heavily flushed with color, while mature leaves broaden and take on a satiny texture. The trailing stems grow generously, fitting equally well in a hanging basket or cascading from a high shelf.

It is grown almost entirely for its foliage, which offers visual reward year-round. The plant is a well-documented air purifier known to filter formaldehyde and other indoor toxins, actively improving air quality in home offices, living rooms, and kitchens.

Rotate it regularly for even, balanced growth, and keep it away from AC vents and heater drafts, which can stress the foliage. Move it outside during summer to a shaded or dappled-light spot. Place it on a high shelf or in a hanging planter, as the sap can cause skin and paw irritation and the plant should not be eaten by cats, dogs, or small children.

  •   Syngonium Gold Allusion grows well in medium to bright indirect light and adapts well to lower-light office conditions without losing its golden color.

Water it every 7-10 days in spring and summer, allowing the top inch of soil to dry before watering again.

Syngonium Podophyllum does best in a well-draining mix of peat or coco coir, perlite, and a small amount of compost.

It prefers temperatures between 60-85°F and should never be exposed to frost or temperatures below 50°F.

Syngonium Podophyllum is a moderate-to-fast grower; feed it monthly in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength.

It is hardy in USDA zones 10-12, where temperatures rarely dip below 30-35°F, and grows outdoors year-round in southern Florida, coastal and southern California, Hawaii, the southernmost tip of Texas, and parts of Arizona. It can be grown outdoors through the warmer months in Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, Nevada, and coastal Oregon; bring it indoors once temperatures begin to drop in autumn.
  • Q: How much light does Syngonium Gold Allusion need?
A: Keep it away from direct south-facing sun to prevent leaf scorch, but it adapts to lower-light rooms without losing its golden tone.

Q: Is it safe for pets?
A: Syngonium Gold Allusion sap causes skin and paw irritation on contact, and the plant should not be eaten by cats or dogs, so keep it on a high shelf or in a hanging planter well out of their reach.

Q: How fast does Syngonium Podophyllum grow?
A: It produces new leaves regularly through spring and summer in warm, humid conditions; growth slows naturally in winter when light and temperatures drop.

Q: How do I propagate it?
A: Syngonium Podophyllum propagates easily from stem cuttings just below a node placed in water or moist soil; new roots typically appear within 2-4 weeks in a warm, bright spot.

Q: Can Syngonium Podophyllum survive without water for a while?
A: You can leave it up to ten days without water during the growing season.

Q: What air-cleaning benefits does it offer?
A: Syngonium Podophyllum filters formaldehyde and other household toxins from the air, making it an excellent choice for bedrooms and home offices.

    🌿 For Houseplants
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging as soon as possible and review the care instructions included with your order. Water based on your plant’s needs, making sure not to overwater.
Houseplants may need a short adjustment period after arrival. Give your plant time to acclimate to its new space before placing it with other plants. You can gently clean the leaves if needed, and wait to fertilize until it has settled in. Always check soil moisture instead of watering on a fixed schedule.
*** We pack carefully to protect each plant during transit, so larger orders may arrive in multiple packages.
