These plants have earned a devoted following among collectors and beginner plant parents alike for their low-maintenance nature and distinctive appearance.

        The plump, lemon-shaped leaves are silvery gray-green with translucent stripes called "windows" that allow light to filter into the leaf tissue. Long stems send growth cascading downward in a trailing, clustering habit, creating a natural draping form that works well in hanging baskets or on high shelves.

        Small daisy-like blooms appear when conditions are right, particularly after temperatures drop noticeably at night, though flowering indoors is a bonus rather than a guarantee.
