The leaves feature bright red on the outer surface with a translucent green stripe running along the top, creating a bold two-tone effect. 'Glow' stays small and tightly mounded, rarely exceeding a few inches tall, and develops a fuller clump over time. The leaf shape and color intensity deepen when exposed to stronger light, shifting from muted red-green in low conditions to red throughout.
This succulent is grown primarily for its foliage rather than flowers, which are inconspicuous and rarely produced in indoor settings.
'Glow' works well on windowsills, shelves, or small dish gardens where its compact size and leaf shape can be appreciated up close. Stem cuttings root easily once the plant is mature, allowing propagation from established specimens.
Ruby Glow grows well in bright indoor light or filtered sun; leaf color deepens with increased light exposure.
Water it every 10–14 days during spring and summer, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings; reduce to monthly or less in fall and winter.
'Glow' does best in gritty, well-draining cactus and succulent mix with 50–75% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
It prefers temperatures between 65–75°F and does not tolerate frost or prolonged cold below 50°F.

Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
