    •   Senecio Stapeliiformis, also called Candle Stick Plant, is a rare succulent native to South Africa, where it grows in rocky, arid landscapes with excellent drainage and abundant sun. Despite its common name referencing a cactus, this genus member is a true succulent, making it a special addition to any collection.

        It grows in a bold upright style, producing pencil-like cylindrical stems striped in silvery gray and deep green with subtle purple patterning along the ridges. Small scale-like leaves hug the stems closely, giving the plant a textured, sculptural succulent form. Its compact stems are what make this rare plant so collectible.

        Senecio Stapeliiformis can produce red-orange brush-like flower heads at the stem tips, typically appearing in warmer months when conditions are right. A noticeable night temperature drop encourages blooming, so placing it somewhere with natural temperature variation during the growing season increases the chance of flowers.
