  •   Pachysedum 'Frank Venz' is a rare hybrid succulent born from a cross between Pachyphytum and Sedum, two members of the Crassulaceae family. It inherits the best traits of both parents, creating a compact, sculptural plant.

It forms chunky, powdery rosettes with plump, elongated leaves in soft blue-green to lavender tones. The foliage is coated in a farina that gives it a frosted appearance, and the upright rosette habit makes it an eye-catching focal point on any shelf or windowsill.

Flower details for this hybrid are not widely confirmed, but like many succulents it may benefit from cooler night temperatures to encourage blooming when conditions are right.

You can leave it up to ten days without water. It is cat and dog friendly for homes with curious pets. Move it outside in summer to soak up fresh air and sunlight. It survives indoors and can also live outdoors year-round in warm climates.

  •   Pachysedum 'Frank Venz' grows well in bright indirect light, partial sun, or full sun, and benefits from regular rotation for even rosette growth.

Water it every 10–14 days during the growing season and every 3–4 weeks in winter, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings.

Pachysedum 'Frank Venz' does best in a gritty, fast-draining cactus and succulent mix blended with perlite or coarse pumice.

It prefers temperatures between 50–85°F and should be protected from frost and freezing conditions below 32°F.

Pachysedum 'Frank Venz' is a slow to moderate grower that benefits from diluted balanced succulent fertilizer once monthly during spring and summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9–11, where temperatures rarely drop below 20°F. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. Along the Oregon coast and in sheltered parts of New Mexico, Arkansas, and North Carolina, it can thrive with seasonal frost protection during brief cold snaps.
  • Q: How often should I water Pachysedum 'Frank Venz'?
A: Every 10–14 days during the growing season and every 3–4 weeks in winter. Watch the leaves for slight wilting to confirm the soil has dried completely.

Q: Is this succulent safe for cats and dogs?
A: Yes. Pachysedum 'Frank Venz' is non-toxic and pet friendly, so it can be displayed freely without concern for your furry companions.

Q: How much light does Pachysedum 'Frank Venz' need?
A: It performs best in a bright east or west-facing window with direct or indirect light. Rotate it regularly so all sides of the rosette receive even light and grow symmetrically.

Q: Can I move this plant outside in summer?
A: Pachysedum 'Frank Venz' loves spending the warm months outdoors in a bright spot with afternoon shade protection. Cover it from heavy rain to prevent waterlogged soil and rot.

Q: How rare is Pachysedum 'Frank Venz'?
A: It is a genuine hybrid not commonly found in mainstream garden centers. Availability through specialty nurseries and collectors makes it harder to source than standard succulents.

Q: Can this succulent survive if I travel for a week or two?
A: Pachysedum 'Frank Venz' can hold water in its leaves for extended periods. Water thoroughly before departure and the fleshy foliage will sustain it through a typical vacation.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
