  •   Haworthia Pumila African Pearl - Haworthia reinwardtii f. triebneri is a compact succulent from the Asphodelaceae family, native to the rocky, semi-arid scrubland of South Africa's Eastern Cape. It adapts readily to indoor life and stays small enough for 2" or 4" containers.

Haworthia Triebneri forms tight, upright rosettes with dark green to gray-green lance-shaped leaves arranged in neat spiraling rows. Each leaf is studded with raised white tubercles that create a pebbly texture across the surface. As it matures, it offsets freely around the base, forming dense clustering clumps that remain compact in small pots.

It occasionally produces slender stalks topped with small tubular pinkish-white flowers in spring or summer, with a noticeable drop in nighttime temperatures encouraging blooms. You can leave it up to ten days without water.

Move it outside in summer to a sheltered spot, but provide cover from rain to prevent root rot. Rotate the pot regularly for even, symmetrical growth. It is completely pet-safe and non-toxic to cats and dogs.

  •   Haworthia Pumila African Pearl - Haworthia reinwardtii f. triebneri grows in low, medium, or bright indirect light and scorches in direct south-facing windows.

Water it every 2 to 3 weeks in summer and once a month or less in winter, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings.

Haworthia Triebneri grows well in fast-draining cactus and succulent mix blended with extra perlite for optimal root health.

It prefers temperatures between 65 to 85°F and should be protected from frost below 40°F.

Haworthia Triebneri is a slow to moderate grower that benefits from diluted succulent fertilizer applied once in spring and once in summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 10 and 11, tolerating minimum temperatures down to around 30 to 35°F with protection. It grows outdoors year-round in Hawaii, southern Florida, coastal Southern California, the lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas, and the warmest pockets of Arizona. It also survives outdoors through most of the year in zone 9 states including central California, Georgia, South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Nevada with simple frost protection.
  • Q: How often should I water Haworthia Pumila African Pearl - Haworthia reinwardtii f. triebneri?
A: Every 2 to 3 weeks in summer and once a month or less in winter. The leaves will show slight softening or mild wrinkling when thirsty.

Q: What light conditions work best for this drought-tolerant succulent?
A: Haworthia Pumila African Pearl - Haworthia reinwardtii f. triebneri grows in low to bright indirect light, including standard office LEDs. Keep it away from harsh direct sun to prevent leaf scorch.

Q: Does Haworthia Triebneri require frequent repotting?
A: No. Growth is slow to moderate, so it stays compact in a 2" or 4" pot for a long time before needing to repot.

Q: How do I propagate this succulent?
A: Haworthia Triebneri offsets freely around the base of the mother plant. Gently separate them, let the cut end callous for a day, then pot into dry succulent mix.

Q: Can Haworthia Triebneri go outside in summer?
A: Yes. It does well in a warm sheltered outdoor spot in summer, but provide cover from rain and avoid full afternoon sun.

Q: Is this plant safe for households with pets?
A: Haworthia Triebneri is completely pet-safe and non-toxic to cats and dogs.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
