  •   Haworthia cooperi var. dielsiana is a rare, slow-growing succulent in the family Asphodelaceae, native to the Eastern Cape of South Africa. It grows naturally in rocky, semi-arid grasslands, often nestled beneath leaf litter or partially buried in soil with only its leaf tips exposed to light.

The leaves are plump, rounded, and semi-transparent at the tips, with those glassy "windows" allowing light to reach the inner tissue even when the plant is partially buried. Each rosette stays compact, typically reaching 2 to 4 inches across, and the leaves are soft green with subtle patterning across the surface. The translucent tips are what set this haworthia cooperi apart from many other window succulents in cultivation.

Haworthia Dielsiana can produce slender flower stalks with small, tubular white flowers, typically in spring or summer. A slight drop in nighttime temperature can encourage blooming. It is also pet-friendly, so it can sit anywhere in the home without concern for cats or dogs.

You can leave it up to ten days without water, which covers long weekends and short trips without any intervention needed. Move it outside for summer in a sheltered spot, and keep it covered from rain to avoid waterlogging. Haworthia Dielsiana fits well inside a terrarium and does fine under standard office LED lighting. Keep it away from heating vents and AC units, and avoid placing it in a south-facing window where direct sun will scorch the leaves. This is a genuinely rare variety, and its translucent leaf tips make it a sought-after piece in any haworthia or window succulent collection.

  •   Haworthia cooperi var. dielsiana grows well under bright indirect light, including standard office LED setups.

Water it every 10 to 14 days, letting the soil dry out completely between waterings.

Haworthia Dielsiana does best in a gritty, fast-draining mix such as cactus soil blended with coarse perlite or pumice.

It prefers temperatures between 65°F and 80°F and is sensitive to cold drafts from AC units or heaters.

Haworthia Dielsiana is a slow-growing succulent; feed it with a diluted balanced fertilizer once in spring and once in summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11, tolerating brief dips down to around 25°F but not sustained frost. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, and across the Gulf Coast and Southwest. It thrives outdoors in Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, and southern coastal regions of Oregon and Washington as well.
  • Q: Is Haworthia cooperi var. dielsiana safe for cats and dogs?
A: Yes, this plant is non-toxic and pet-friendly for both cats and dogs.

Q: How much light does this plant need?
A: Haworthia cooperi var. dielsiana grows well in bright indirect light, including office fluorescent or LED setups. A south-facing window will scorch the leaf tips, so an east- or west-facing window is a better placement.

Q: Can Haworthia Dielsiana go outside in summer?
A: Yes, move it outside once temperatures stay above 50°F. Keep it in a sheltered spot away from heavy rain, and bring it back indoors before the first autumn cold snap.

Q: How do I know when to water this plant?
A: Haworthia Dielsiana wilts slightly and the leaves lose a little firmness when the soil has been dry too long. Check the top inch of soil, and if it is still dry, it is time to water.

Q: How big does Haworthia Dielsiana get?
A: It stays compact, usually reaching 2 to 4 inches across at full size. Growth is slow, so it will not outgrow a small pot quickly.

Q: Is this plant hard to find?
A: Haworthia Dielsiana is a genuinely rare variety, especially selections with well-developed translucent window tips. It is less commonly stocked than standard haworthia cooperi forms.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
