  •   Sedeveria Blue Elf Echeveria x Sedum is an intergeneric hybrid succulent that crosses two genera from arid regions of Mexico and Central America. This compact rosette brings together the best traits of Echeveria and Sedum, creating a drought-tolerant plant that appeals to both beginners and collectors.

It forms tight, symmetrical rosettes packed with plump, pointed leaves in powdery blue-green that blush pink or coral at the tips when given enough sun. The leaves have a firm, slightly waxy texture. As it matures, the plant offsets freely into a clustered, low-growing mound that fills out any pot or arrangement.

Sedeveria 'Blue Elf' produces star-shaped blooms on slender stalks in shades of yellow or orange, typically appearing in fall and winter when nighttime temperatures drop. The cool night shift is the key trigger for flowering. Like most succulents, it produces pollen and minor allergens when in bloom.

You can leave it up to ten days without water. Move it outside in summer to a bright spot, but provide cover from heavy rain to prevent waterlogged soil. The clustering habit means you will have plenty of offsets to share or pot up over time. It is non-toxic to cats and dogs.

  •   Sedeveria Blue Elf Echeveria x Sedum grows well in bright indirect light, partial sun, or full sun with at least four to six hours of daily light.

Water it deeply every 10 to 14 days in summer, reducing to once every three to four weeks in winter.

Sedeveria 'Blue Elf' does best in a fast-draining succulent and cactus mix amended with perlite or coarse sand.

It prefers temperatures between 60 and 80°F and should be protected from frost below 25°F.

Sedeveria 'Blue Elf' is a moderate grower that benefits from a balanced, diluted succulent fertilizer applied once in spring and once in early summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11, tolerating brief dips to around 25°F before needing frost protection. It grows outdoors year-round in Florida, California, Texas, Arizona, Hawaii, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and Nevada, as well as along the coastal stretches of Oregon and Washington. Parts of New Mexico, Arkansas, and North Carolina within these warmer zones can also support it in protected outdoor settings.
  • Q: Is Sedeveria Blue Elf Echeveria x Sedum pet friendly?
A: It is non-toxic to cats and dogs, making it a safe choice for pet households.

Q: What visual sign shows when the plant needs water?
A: Sedeveria Blue Elf Echeveria x Sedum will have leaves that look slightly soft or wrinkled.

Q: Can Sedeveria 'Blue Elf' go outside for the summer?
A: Yes, it loves spending summer outdoors in a bright spot. Just provide cover from heavy rain to prevent root rot.

Q: How much light does the plant need for best color?
A: Sedeveria 'Blue Elf' develops its full blue-green with pink-coral tips in bright indirect to full sun; rotate the pot regularly so all sides receive even light and the rosette stays symmetrical.

Q: What triggers Sedeveria 'Blue Elf' to bloom?
A: A drop in nighttime temperatures, typically in fall or winter, triggers flowering. Placing it near a cool window or bringing it outside in early autumn often works.

Q: How big does the plant get?

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
