    •   Sempervivum 'Webbi Flame' is a frost-hardy succulent in the Crassulaceae family, descended from alpine and mountain species native to Europe's rocky slopes. It carries the hardiness of its ancestors, plants bred by centuries of survival in thin, gritty soils and extreme weather conditions across high-altitude terrain.

        Webbi Flame forms tight, jewel-like rosettes with fleshy, pointed leaves that shift from green to red under direct sun. The plant grows in a clustering habit, producing offsets freely around the mother rosette to create a spreading mat over time. Its compact rosettes have a sculptural quality among collector plants.

        Each individual rosette flowers once in its lifetime, then dies back while the surrounding offsets continue growing. Like all Sempervivums, it produces pollen and may affect allergy-sensitive households, though the plant itself is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

        Webbi Flame suits rock gardens, alpine troughs, container arrangements, and sunny windowsills equally well. It tolerates dry heated indoor air and handles drafty spots without issue. You can leave it up to ten days without water. Move it outside in summer or keep it outdoors into autumn. Cover it from prolonged heavy rain to prevent root rot. The plant has a long history of edible and medicinal use in traditional European herbal practice.

    •   Sempervivum 'Webbi Flame' grows well in full sun to partial sun, with direct sunlight intensifying the red and green color in the rosettes.

        Water it deeply but infrequently, roughly every two to three weeks, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings.
