    •   Sempervivum 'Cornelia' is a frost hardy houseleek succulent from the alpine plant family, native to the mountainous regions of Europe where it grows in rocky, harsh conditions. It grows where other plants struggle, making it suitable for beginners and experienced growers alike.

        Cornelia forms tight rosettes of thick, fleshy leaves with burgundy-red edges that contrast against green centers. The leaves have pointed tips and smooth texture, with each rosette reaching 3–4 inches across at maturity. It develops a clustering growth habit, creating colonies of offsets around the mother plant as it matures.

        In summer, star-shaped flowers in shades of pink or white emerge on tall stalks above the rosettes. Cornelia handles dry heated air without stress and tolerates balcony wind and rain exceptionally well.

        Cornelia works well in rock gardens, containers, and outdoor succulent displays. It needs rotating occasionally for even growth and handles drafty locations that challenge other houseplants.
