    •   Notocactus buenekerii is a rare ball cactus native to the rocky hills and grasslands of southern Brazil and Uruguay. This drought-tolerant member of the Notocactus genus has become a specimen among cactus collectors for its distinctive globular form and resilient nature.

        It features a classic spherical shape with prominent ribs lined with clusters of golden-yellow spines. The deep green body features well-defined tubercles and areoles that create a geometric pattern. It maintains its compact, upright form while developing a crown of spines.

        It produces yellow flowers that emerge from the crown during spring and summer months. The blooms appear when the plant experiences proper night temperature drops during winter dormancy. It bears daisy-like flowers that contrast against the spiny green body.
