  •   Haworthia Cooperi Succulent is a slow-growing gem from the Eastern Cape of South Africa, where it grows tucked among rocks and grasslands. It belongs to the Asphodelaceae family and is sought by collectors and beginners alike for its compact size and translucent foliage.

It forms tight, upright rosettes of plump forest green leaves tipped with soft bristles. The leaves have translucent tips called "windows" that catch light, giving each rosette a jewel-like appearance. Haworthia Cooperi stays compact and sculptural, reaching only 2–4 inches tall, and fits perfectly in terrariums, small pots, or shelf displays without crowding its neighbors.

In spring or summer, it produces slender flower spikes with small tubular white blooms, often triggered by a slight drop in nighttime temperatures. The flowers are modest rather than showy, but they confirm the plant is growing well. Between bloom cycles, the translucent foliage is the main feature.

Move it outside in summer to a bright, sheltered spot with indirect light, keeping it covered from rain and bringing it indoors before frost arrives. It is pet-friendly and safe for homes with cats and dogs. The plant handles dry heated indoor air well. You can leave it up to ten days without water.

  •   Haworthia Cooperi Succulent grows well in bright indirect light and will scorch in direct afternoon sun from south-facing windows.

Water it every 2–3 weeks during the growing season, letting the soil dry completely between waterings; reduce to once a month in winter.

Haworthia Cooperi does best in a fast-draining cactus and succulent mix combined with extra perlite for improved drainage.

It prefers temperatures between 65–80°F and should be protected from frost below 30°F.

Haworthia Cooperi is a slow grower that needs only a light balanced fertilizer once in spring and once in summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9–11, tolerating brief dips to around 30°F but suffering damage with prolonged frost. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and Nevada. Parts of Oregon, New Mexico, and coastal areas of North Carolina also fall within these zones.
  • Q: How often should I water Haworthia Cooperi Succulent?
A: Every 2–3 weeks in the growing season, letting the soil dry out fully before the next watering. In winter, reduce to once a month to prevent root rot.

    Q: Is it pet-safe?
A: Haworthia Cooperi Succulent is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

Q: Can Haworthia Cooperi grow in a terrarium?
A: Yes. Its compact upright rosette and low water needs suit it to terrariums, though use an open design to ensure proper airflow and prevent moisture buildup.

Q: Why are the leaves turning yellow?
A: Yellowing stems most often from overwatering or poor drainage trapping moisture at the roots. Less commonly, insufficient light or cold drafts from AC or heating vents trigger the problem.

Q: How fast does Haworthia Cooperi grow?
A: It is a slow grower, typically adding only a few new leaves per season, so repotting is rarely necessary.

Q: Can I move it outside for summer?
A: Haworthia Cooperi loves spending summer outdoors in a bright, sheltered spot with indirect light. Keep it covered from rain and bring it in before nighttime temperatures drop toward freezing.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
