  •   Echeveria The Rose is a succulent in the Crassulaceae family native to the semi-arid highlands of Mexico and Central America. It forms a compact, upright rosette and is a popular choice for succulent arrangements and unique succulent gifts.

It develops thick, fleshy leaves edged in soft pink to purple scalloped margins that give the plant its rose-like appearance. The leaves shift from cool green at the center to deeper purple and pink tones toward the tips, especially in bright light. It stays low and compact, making it suitable for desks, shelves, and tabletops in any well-lit area.

In spring or summer, 'The Rose' sends up slender arching stems tipped with small bell-shaped blooms. A drop in nighttime temperatures in late winter triggers flowering, so moving it to a cooler spot in the evenings can encourage blooms to emerge.

Move it outside in summer to a bright, sheltered spot. Bring it back indoors before temperatures drop in autumn and cover it during heavy rain, since standing water in the rosette causes rot. You can leave it up to ten days without water. It is pet-friendly and releases oxygen at night, making it suitable for bedrooms and homes with cats and dogs.

  •   Echeveria The Rose grows well in bright indirect light and may scorch in intense south-facing windows, so filtered light is safest.

Water it deeply every 10-14 days in summer and every 3-4 weeks in winter, always letting the soil dry completely between waterings.

'The Rose' does best in a gritty, fast-draining cactus or succulent mix blended with perlite at a 50/50 ratio.

It prefers temperatures between 60-80°F and should be protected from temperatures below 40°F.

'The Rose' is a slow to moderate grower that benefits from diluted succulent fertilizer once monthly during the active growing season.

It is hardy in USDA Zones 9-11, tolerating brief dips to around 25-30°F with protection. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Texas, Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, parts of New Mexico, Arkansas, and coastal North Carolina and Oregon.
  • Q: How often should I water Echeveria The Rose?
A: In warm months, water every 10-14 days; in winter, every 3-4 weeks. The soil should dry completely between waterings to prevent rot.

Q: What kind of light does it need?
A: Echeveria The Rose grows well in bright indirect light near an east or west-facing window. Avoid prolonged direct midday sun through a south-facing window, as it can scorch the leaves.

Q: Is 'The Rose' safe for cats and dogs?
A: Yes, it is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

Q: How do I get it to bloom?
A: A drop in nighttime temperatures in late winter is the key trigger for flowering. Move 'The Rose' to a slightly cooler spot in the evenings, and blooms will emerge in spring or summer.

Q: Can I propagate 'The Rose' at home?
A: It propagates easily from leaf cuttings or offsets. Allow cuttings to callous for a day or two before placing them on dry succulent mix, then mist lightly until roots form.

Q: Can it go outside for the summer?
A: 'The Rose' thrives outdoors in a bright, sheltered spot during summer. Cover it during heavy rain and bring it back inside before temperatures drop in autumn.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
