  •   Echeveria 'Amnesty' is a rare colorful rosette succulent in the Crassulaceae family. Like all Echeveria, it originates from the semi-arid highlands of Mexico and Central America, where rocky soils and bright sun shaped its drought-tolerant nature. It has earned a devoted following for its appearance and low-maintenance personality.

'Amnesty' forms tight, symmetrical rosettes with plump, spoon-shaped leaves in shifting tones of pink, blue, and purple, often edged with vivid blush that deepens in bright light. A powdery farina coating gives the plant a soft, frosted appearance and protects it from intense sun. As a clustering grower, it gradually produces offsets around the mother rosette, creating a full, jewel-like display over time.

'Amnesty' needs a natural drop in nighttime temperatures to trigger blooming, so moving it outdoors in summer or placing it near a cooler window in autumn can encourage a flower show. The genus produces arching stems with bell-shaped flowers that rise above the rosette. It tolerates dry heated indoor air better than many succulents, holding its shape and color through winter.

Rotate it every week or two for even, symmetrical growth, and move it outside when temperatures warm up. It is pet-friendly, so no worries about curious cats or dogs. You can leave it up to ten days without water.

  •   Echeveria 'Amnesty' grows well in bright indirect light to full sun, ideally 4-6 hours of morning sun daily.

Water it deeply every 10-14 days in summer, reducing to once a month in winter.

'Amnesty' does best in a well-draining cactus and perlite mix at roughly 50/50 ratio.

It prefers temperatures between 65-80°F and should be protected from frost below 25°F.

'Amnesty' is a slow to moderate grower; feed it lightly with diluted balanced fertilizer once in spring.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9-11, tolerating brief dips to around 25°F but not sustained frost. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and coastal stretches of Oregon and Washington. Gardeners in North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, New Mexico, and beyond can enjoy it as a container plant that moves indoors before the first freeze.
  • Q: How often should I water Echeveria 'Amnesty'?
A: During warm months, let the soil dry out completely between waterings. In winter, water less frequently as growth slows.

Q: Is this succulent toxic to pets?
A: No. Echeveria 'Amnesty' is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

Q: What window direction works best for 'Amnesty' indoors?
A: A south or east-facing window with several hours of direct or bright indirect sun works well. Rotate the pot regularly so the rosette receives even light and stays symmetrical.

Q: How large does it grow?
A: 'Amnesty' typically reaches 3-5 inches across as a single rosette. Over time it clusters with offsets, so a mature planting can spread several inches wider.

Q: How do I propagate 'Amnesty'?
A: The easiest way is to gently remove offsets from the base and pot them separately. Leaf propagation also works; remove leaves cleanly and lay them on dry, well-draining soil.

Q: Is this cultivar hard to find?
A: 'Amnesty' is considered rare and not widely available in mainstream garden centers.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
