  •   Coral Aloe Vera Striata is a drought-tolerant architectural succulent native to the rocky slopes and scrublands of South Africa's Cape region. It is a member of the Aloe genus that evolved to grow in bright, dry conditions and has a devoted following among collectors and beginners for its low-maintenance nature and air-purifying qualities.

The plant forms smooth, broad, blue-green leaves that radiate outward in a tight rosette, with leaf edges tinted in coral-pink to red tones that deepen in full sun. Unlike many aloes, its leaves are smooth rather than spiny, and it grows in a clumping, clustering habit over time, producing offsets that multiply its visual structure. The overall structure is bold and sculptural, reaching about 12 to 18 inches tall and wide in its rosette form.

When conditions are right, including a cooler night temperature drop, Coral Aloe sends up tall flower stalks topped with coral-red to orange tubular blooms that attract hummingbirds and pollinators. Blooms typically appear in late winter to spring. The flower color makes blooming season visually striking.

Rotate it periodically for even, symmetrical rosette growth, and keep it away from direct AC or heater vents to prevent leaf stress. You can leave it up to ten days without water. Move it outside in summer; it handles balcony wind and rain well, though a cover from heavy prolonged rain is a good idea. Keep it on a high shelf out of reach of pets and away from small children, as cats and dogs can experience skin or paw irritation from the sap. It grows well under office LED lighting and can stay outdoors into autumn in warmer climates.

  •   Coral Aloe Vera Striata grows well in bright indirect light, partial sun, or full sun outdoors, though south-facing windows may scorch its leaves.

Water it deeply every 10 to 14 days in summer, cutting back to once a month in winter when growth slows.

Coral Aloe grows best in a fast-draining cactus and succulent mix blended with extra perlite or coarse sand for optimal root health.

It prefers temperatures between 50 and 80°F and tolerates brief dips to around 25°F with protection.

Coral Aloe is a moderate grower that stays tidy for years and needs only a light balanced feed once in early spring.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11, tolerating brief frost down to around 25°F before needing protection. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Texas, Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and coastal areas of Oregon. Warmer pockets of North Carolina, Arkansas, and parts of New Mexico can also support this drought-tolerant succulent through mild winters with minimal shelter.
  • Q: How often should I water Coral Aloe Vera Striata?
A: Every 10 to 14 days during the growing season, letting the soil dry completely between waterings. Once a month in winter.

Q: Is this plant safe for pets?
A: Coral Aloe Vera Striata is not safe for cats and dogs; the sap can cause skin or paw irritation, so keep it on a high shelf well out of reach.

Q: How much light does Coral Aloe need?
A: Bright indirect light to full sun works well, though it will also grow under office LED lighting in lower-light indoor spaces. South-facing windows may scorch the leaves.

Q: Can I keep this plant outdoors?
A: Coral Aloe enjoys spending summer outdoors and handles balcony wind and rain well; just move it inside before hard frost arrives in autumn.

Q: What size does Coral Aloe reach?
A: It typically grows 12 to 18 inches tall and wide in rosette form, spreading wider as it clusters and produces offsets over time.

    Q: Is this a beginner-friendly succulent?
A: Coral Aloe is drought-tolerant and requires only basic watering and bright light, making it accessible to anyone new to plant care.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
