  •   Silver Glory String of Hearts, also called rosary vine or chain of hearts succulent, is a rare trailing succulent in the Ceropegia genus native to the rocky hillsides and scrublands of southern Africa. This collector's plant stands out among ceropegia varieties for its silvery variegation.

Thin, bead-like stems cascade downward in long trailing vines lined with small, heart-shaped leaves. The foliage carries soft green tones with silvery-white markings that intensify under bright light, showcasing its natural form whether hung from a high shelf or displayed in a hanging planter.

It produces slender, tubular blooms in purple and magenta tones, typically appearing in late summer through autumn when exposed to a slight nighttime temperature drop. Rotate it regularly for even growth, and keep it away from AC and heater vents, though it tolerates dry heated air.

You can leave it up to ten days without water. It will visibly wilt when thirsty. Move it outside for summer if desired. This plant is pet friendly. Propagate it from vine cuttings placed in water or moist soil, where roots develop within a few weeks, or use tuber propagation for faster results.

  •   Silver Glory String of Hearts grows well in bright indirect light or partial sun, away from harsh south-facing windows that can scorch its leaves.

Water it thoroughly every 10-14 days in spring and summer, reducing to once every 3-4 weeks in winter.

Silver Glory String of Hearts does best in a well-draining cactus and succulent mix blended with perlite for added aeration.

It prefers temperatures between 60-80°F and should be protected from cold below 50°F.

Silver Glory String of Hearts is an active trailing grower that benefits from a balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during spring and summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9-11, tolerating minimum temperatures down to around 25-30°F with frost protection. Gardeners in Florida, California, Texas, Arizona, Hawaii, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and Nevada will find it outdoors, as will those along the mild Oregon coast and in sheltered microclimates across New Mexico, Arkansas, and parts of North Carolina and Virginia.
  • Q: Is Silver Glory String of Hearts pet friendly?
A: It is safe for cats and dogs.

Q: How do I know when to water?
A: Silver Glory String of Hearts will visibly wilt when soil moisture is low.

Q: Can I propagate the Silver Glory String of Hearts in water?
A: Yes, place a few vine cuttings in water or moist soil and roots will develop within a few weeks; tuber propagation also works for faster results.

Q: Why are the leaves turning yellow?
A: Yellowing leaves are almost always caused by overwatering or poor drainage. The Silver Glory String of Hearts needs the soil to dry out fully between waterings and requires drainage holes in the pot.

Q: Does Silver Glory String of Hearts grow well under office LED lights?
A: It can tolerate consistent, bright office LEDs, though leaf color and growth will be stronger in a location with a well-lit window providing natural indirect light.

Q: Where should I hang this plant?
A: The Silver Glory String of Hearts performs best on a high shelf or hanging hook where the trailing vines can fall downward and where it receives bright, indirect natural light away from direct south-facing sun.

    🌿 For Houseplants
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging as soon as possible and review the care instructions included with your order. Water based on your plant’s needs, making sure not to overwater.
Houseplants may need a short adjustment period after arrival. Give your plant time to acclimate to its new space before placing it with other plants. You can gently clean the leaves if needed, and wait to fertilize until it has settled in. Always check soil moisture instead of watering on a fixed schedule.
*** We pack carefully to protect each plant during transit, so larger orders may arrive in multiple packages.
