    •   Senecio vitalis 'Serpents', also called Blue Chalk Fingers, is a drought-tolerant succulent native to South Africa's coastal regions. It belongs to the Asteraceae family and has gained attention among collectors for its blue-grey foliage and finger-like growth pattern.

        Serpents produces thick, cylindrical leaves that grow upright in dense clusters, resembling pale blue fingers reaching skyward. Each leaf has a smooth, waxy texture with a powdery blue-grey coating that deepens in bright light. The plant typically reaches 6 to 12 inches tall and spreads 4 to 8 inches wide, making it suited for containers and small spaces.

        It produces small white or cream-colored flowers during late spring and summer when grown in optimal conditions. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs, so keep it out of reach of pets and small children, as the sap can cause skin irritation.
