'Cherry Glow' forms tight, symmetrical rosettes of fleshy pointed leaves that flush in shades of cherry red and burgundy, deepening in bright light and cooler temperatures. The leaves have finely fringed edges. Over time, it clusters offsets around the mother rosette, creating a low-growing mat of bold color in gardens and containers.
During summer, 'Cherry Glow' produces star-shaped pale yellow flowers on tall, upright stalks. Each rosette blooms once in its lifetime, then dies back naturally while surrounding offsets continue the plant forward.
'Cherry Glow' excels in rock gardens, alpine troughs, balcony pots, and container arrangements where it handles wind and rain with ease. It grows well outdoors through autumn and winter and tolerates dry heated indoor air, so it adapts to both garden beds and windowsill collections. The plant is non-toxic to cats and dogs. You can leave it up to ten days without water.
Sempervivum heuffelii 'Cherry Glow' grows well in partial to full sun, needing at least four to six hours of direct light daily.
Water it deeply but infrequently, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings, roughly every ten to fourteen days.

Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
