Red forms tight, fountain-like rosettes with slender, arching leaves that shift from forest green to red and purple tones as the plant matures. The foliage is narrow and slightly curved, creating an upright form that grows wider as the plant spreads. Mature specimens can reach 2 to 4 inches tall and expand considerably over time, while starter plants are more compact.
