    •   Sempervivum heuffelii 'Chocoleto' is a rare frost hardy succulent from the Crassulaceae family, native to mountainous regions of central and southeastern Europe. It grows naturally in rocky, well-drained alpine terrain and earns its place in any collection with year-round performance in cold climates.

        Chocoleto forms tight, upright rosettes with thick, fleshy leaves in chocolate-brown and deep burgundy tones that deepen with cooler temperatures and bright light. The clustering growth style means each plant gradually produces offsetting rosettes over time, building a satisfying colony of individual heads. The leaves are deep burgundy to purple-brown, intensifying in cooler temperatures and bright light.

        It typically blooms in summer, producing star-shaped flowers on upright stalks above the rosettes. A night temperature drop encourages the best bloom response, so outdoor placement in late spring pairs flowering season with the plant's most visually dramatic coloration.
