The plant develops a tree-like form with thick blue-green stems that branch upward from a defined trunk as it matures. Its ribs are lined with clusters of spines that add texture to the upright growth habit. The upright form of Polaskia Chichipe serves as a focal point in any interior space.
It produces small creamy white to pale yellow flowers along its upper stems, typically blooming in late spring to early summer when nighttime temperatures drop. Blooms appear on mature plants and are followed by edible red fruits. Rotate it periodically so all sides receive even light exposure and growth stays balanced and upright.
It prefers temperatures between 65–95°F and should stay above 25°F. Q: How often should I water Polaskia Chichipe Cactus?
A: Water deeply every two to three weeks during the growing season, cutting back to once a month or less in winter. Check soil moisture by inserting your finger an inch deep; water only if the soil is completely dry.
Q: What window direction works best for this plant?
A: Polaskia Chichipe Cactus needs a south- or west-facing window for direct sun exposure. In intense afternoon heat, move it back slightly from the glass to prevent leaf scorch.
Q: Can Polaskia Chichipe tolerate being left unwatered during travel?
A: Yes, it can go without water for up to ten days.
Q: Is this plant pet friendly?
A: Polaskia Chichipe is safe for cats and dogs. The spines can cause physical discomfort, so placement out of reach is still recommended.
Q: How can I propagate Polaskia Chichipe?
A: Take a stem cutting and allow it to callous for several days before planting in dry cactus mix. Rooting takes several weeks and succeeds best in warm, bright conditions.
Q: Why are the stems turning yellow?
A: Polaskia Chichipe stems turn yellow most often from overwatering or poor drainage; let the soil dry fully between waterings. Insufficient light or prolonged exposure to cold from AC or heater vents can also cause discoloration.

🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
