  •   Euphorbia ferox, also called Pincushion Euphorbia, is a compact succulent known for its dense covering of sharp spines. Native to arid regions of South Africa, it has adapted to grow well in harsh, dry conditions.

The plant’s surface is covered in thick, rigid spines that give it a distinctive pincushion-like appearance. Its tiny leaves fall off early, leaving behind the spiny structure that defines its look.

During its blooming season, Euphorbia ferox produces small, yellow-green flowers called cyathia near the top of the plant. These blooms are subtle but add a delicate contrast to its rugged form.

It grows well in bright, direct sunlight but can tolerate partial shade. Place it in a spot where pets and small children cannot reach, as its sap can irritate skin and cause discomfort if ingested.

  •   Euphorbia ferox prefers bright, direct sunlight but can grow in partial shade.

Water it sparingly, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot.

Euphorbia ferox does best in a well-draining cactus or succulent mix.

It prefers temperatures between 65–85°F and should be protected from frost.

Euphorbia ferox grows slowly and does not require frequent fertilization.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9–11. It grows outdoors in states like Florida, Texas, and California, where winters stay mild.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
