  •   Graptoveria 'Pink Donna' is a hybrid succulent in the Crassulaceae family, a cross between Graptopetalum and Echeveria. It originates from cultivated hybrid breeding programs rather than a specific wild habitat, combining traits from both parent genera native to Mexico and the southwestern United States.

'Pink Donna' forms a compact rosette of plump, spoon-shaped leaves in soft pastel pink with lavender and peach undertones. The leaf tips can deepen toward rose or dusty mauve depending on light exposure. Each rosette stays relatively small and symmetrical, with a powdery farina coating the leaf surfaces.

It produces small, star-shaped flowers on slender stalks that emerge from between the leaves, typically in spring. The blooms are pale yellow to soft coral and appear once the plant has experienced a drop in nighttime temperatures. Rotate the pot regularly so all sides receive even light and the rosette keeps its symmetrical shape.

Move it outside for the summer months, but place it under a covered spot or bring it in during rain, as prolonged moisture on the leaves or in the soil can cause rot. Keep it away from direct airflow from air conditioners or heaters, though it handles dry heated indoor air without trouble. This plant is pet friendly. You can leave it up to ten days without water, and it wilts slightly when dry.

  •   Graptoveria 'Pink Donna' grows well in bright indirect light near an east- or west-facing window.

Water it every ten to fourteen days, letting the soil dry out completely between waterings.

'Pink Donna' does best in a well-draining cactus and succulent mix combined with coarse perlite or pumice.

It prefers temperatures between 60°F and 80°F and should be kept away from cold drafts below 40°F.

'Pink Donna' grows slowly and benefits from a diluted balanced fertilizer applied once in spring and once in early summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9b through 11, tolerating minimum temperatures down to around 25°F to 30°F. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Hawaii. It can also stay outdoors through autumn in zone 9 areas before overnight temperatures drop too low.
  • Q: How much light does Graptoveria 'Pink Donna' need indoors?
A: An east- or west-facing window works well. A south-facing window can cause leaf scorch, so filter the light with a sheer curtain or move the pot a few feet back from the glass.

Q: How do I know when it needs water?
A: Graptoveria 'Pink Donna' wilts slightly and its leaves feel less firm when the soil has been dry long enough. Check the soil depth first before watering rather than going by a fixed schedule alone.

Q: Is 'Pink Donna' safe for cats and dogs?
A: Yes, this plant is non-toxic and pet friendly for both cats and dogs.

Q: How do I get this succulent to bloom?
A: 'Pink Donna' needs a drop in nighttime temperatures, typically in late winter to early spring, to trigger blooming. Moving it to a cooler spot at night during that period encourages the flower stalks to form.

Q: Can 'Pink Donna' go outside in summer?
A: Yes, move it outdoors once nighttime temperatures stay above 50°F. Keep it under a covered area so rain does not collect in the rosette or saturate the soil.

Q: How do I propagate this succulent?
A: 'Pink Donna' propagates readily from individual leaves or offsets. Gently twist a leaf cleanly from the stem, let the cut end callous for one to two days, then lay it on dry succulent mix until roots and a new rosette form.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
