  •   Echeveria x setorum 'Victor' is a compact succulent in the Crassulaceae family, bred from hybrid parentage to combine the hardiness and visual appeal of its parent species. It forms neat, symmetrical rosettes and adapts readily to indoor and outdoor conditions.

'Victor' develops thick, fleshy leaves arranged in a tight rosette that typically reaches 4 to 6 inches across. The leaves are jade green with a smooth, waxy texture and blue-green undertones, shifting to red at the tips when exposed to bright light. Its compact, dense growth habit makes it a natural fit for windowsills and small spaces.

During spring and summer, 'Victor' sends up tall stems bearing bell-shaped flowers in coral-pink to orange tones. A slight drop in nighttime temperatures during winter can encourage more consistent flowering. It is pet-friendly and safe around cats and dogs, and it tolerates dry heated air.

You can leave 'Victor' up to ten days without water. Rotate it regularly for even growth, and keep it away from direct air conditioning or heater vents, though it remains resilient in dry indoor environments. Move it outside during summer, but protect it from rain to prevent root rot. It is a drought-tolerant plant that requires minimal fertilizer and grows slowly.

  •   Echeveria x setorum 'Victor' grows well in bright indirect light with some direct sun, but avoids harsh south-facing windows where leaves can scorch.

Water it deeply every 7 to 10 days during the growing season, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings; reduce to every 2 to 3 weeks in winter.

'Victor' does best in well-draining cactus and succulent soil mixed with added perlite or pumice for optimal drainage.

It prefers temperatures between 65 and 80°F and cannot tolerate frost below 32°F.

'Victor' grows slowly and requires minimal fertilizer, benefiting from diluted cactus fertilizer applied monthly during spring and summer only.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 to 11 and cannot tolerate frost below 32°F. It grows outdoors year-round in Florida, southern California, southern Texas, Arizona, Hawaii, Louisiana, southern Georgia, coastal South Carolina, southern Nevada, and parts of coastal Oregon, as well as southern Alabama, southern Mississippi, and select microclimates in North Carolina.
  • Q: How often should I water Echeveria x setorum 'Victor'?
A: Water deeply every 7 to 10 days during the growing season while soil dries completely between waterings. In winter, reduce watering to once every 2 to 3 weeks because the plant enters dormancy and requires far less moisture.

    Q: Is this succulent pet-safe?
A: Echeveria x setorum 'Victor' is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

Q: What happens if 'Victor' gets too much sun?
A: The leaves scorch in harsh direct light, particularly from south-facing windows. Bright indirect light with some gentler direct sun prevents leaf damage.

Q: How large does it grow?
A: 'Victor' reaches 4 to 6 inches across and maintains a compact, symmetrical rosette form due to its slow growth rate.

    Q: Can you propagate 'Victor'?
A: Yes, through leaf cuttings or offsets that form at the base. Allow cuttings to callus for a few days before planting in well-draining soil to prevent rot during the rooting phase.

Q: Can it survive outdoors year-round?
A: 'Victor' grows outdoors year-round in USDA zones 9 to 11 where temperatures stay above 32°F. In colder regions, keep it indoors or bring it inside before frost arrives.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
