  •   Echeveria Sofia is a rosette succulent in the Crassulaceae family, native to the semi-arid regions of Mexico and Central America. It evolved to grow in bright light and well-draining soils, and works well for anyone starting with succulents or adding to an established collection.

The plant forms tight, symmetrical rosettes with plump, spoon-shaped leaves that emerge soft emerald green at the center and blush to rosy pink at the tips when exposed to full sun. As a clustering grower, it gradually produces offsets around the base, creating a fuller clump over time without any intervention needed. The compact rosette stays ornamental year-round, whether displayed as a single plant or grouped with other succulents.

It sends up slender arching stalks topped with small bell-shaped flowers in coral or pink tones, most often appearing in spring or summer when nighttime temperatures drop. A cool window placement at night or time spent outdoors in late spring encourages flowering.

Rotation every week or two promotes even, symmetrical growth across all sides of the rosette. You can leave it up to ten days without water. Protect it from heavy rain and standing water on the leaves, which can cause rot. The compact clustering habit makes it equally at home on a desk, sunny patio, or in a mixed succulent dish garden. This succulent is non-toxic to cats and dogs.

  •   Echeveria Sofia grows well in bright indirect light to full sun, ideally positioned near an east or west-facing window.

Water it deeply every 10 to 14 days in spring and summer, then cut back to once monthly during winter.

Echeveria sofia grows well in a gritty, fast-draining cactus and succulent mix blended with perlite or coarse sand.

It prefers temperatures between 60 and 80°F and should be brought indoors before frost arrives.

Echeveria sofia is a slow to moderate grower and benefits from a diluted balanced fertilizer once in spring and once in early summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9 through 11, tolerating brief dips to around 25 to 30°F before frost damage occurs. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi. It can also be grown outside with seasonal protection along the Oregon and Washington coasts, parts of New Mexico, and select microclimates in North Carolina and Virginia.
  • Q: How often should I water Echeveria Sofia?
A: Water deeply every 10 to 14 days during the growing season, letting soil dry completely between waterings. In winter, once a month is sufficient.

Q: Is this succulent safe for pets?
A: Echeveria Sofia is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs.

Q: How much light does Echeveria sofia need?
A: Bright indirect light to full sun works well; position near a sunny east or west-facing window and rotate regularly for even growth.

Q: How big does it get?
A: Echeveria sofia typically grows 3 to 5 inches across as a single rosette, though clusters spread wider over time as offsets form.

Q: Can Echeveria sofia be propagated?
A: Remove the offsets that form around the base and pot them separately in well-draining succulent mix. Leaf propagation is also possible but requires more patience.

Q: Will it survive outdoors in a cold climate?
A: Bring it indoors before temperatures drop near freezing. Echeveria sofia grows outdoors year-round only in zones 9-11 but can summer outside in cooler regions.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
