  •   Echeveria Galaxy Blue is a succulent from the Echeveria genus in the Crassulaceae family, originating from the semi-arid highlands of Mexico and Central America. It grows well in the rocky, well-draining soils and bright light of its native habitat, and thrives indoors or outdoors.

'Galaxy Blue' forms a tight, upright rosette of fleshy, spoon-shaped leaves in blue-gray with soft lavender and dusty violet undertones. The leaves are coated in a powdery farina that intensifies the cool, galaxy-inspired tones. It grows to about 4–6 inches in rosette diameter at maturity, with a compact growth habit suited to small pots and mixed succulent displays.

In late spring to summer, 'Galaxy Blue' may produce slender arching stems tipped with small coral or pink-toned blooms when conditions align. A temperature drop at night, particularly in late winter, encourages flower buds to form.

Move it outside in summer to a bright, sheltered location, and cover it during heavy rain to prevent root rot. Bring it indoors before temperatures drop below 40°F in autumn. The plant tolerates dry air and low humidity. You can leave it up to ten days without water. Rotate the pot regularly for even, balanced growth, and keep it away from air conditioning and heating vents to avoid stress from direct air blasts. 'Galaxy Blue' is pet friendly and safe for cats and dogs, though the powdery coating on leaves may cause mild skin irritation with repeated contact.

  •   Echeveria Galaxy Blue grows well in bright indirect light and can scorch in intense south-facing windows without a sheer curtain buffer.

Water it every 10–14 days indoors using the soak-and-dry method, allowing soil to dry completely between waterings. In winter, reduce watering to once every 3–4 weeks.

'Galaxy Blue' does best in a gritty, well-draining soil blend such as a cactus mix combined with perlite at a 50/50 ratio.

It prefers temperatures between 65–80°F and is not frost tolerant below 25°F.

'Galaxy Blue' is a slow to moderate grower that benefits from a light, balanced succulent fertilizer applied once in spring and once in early summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9–11, tolerating brief dips to around 25°F but not sustained frost. It grows outdoors year-round in California, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Louisiana, and Nevada. It also grows through the warmer months with minimal protection in the warmer pockets of Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Mississippi, as well as the mild coastal stretches of Oregon and Washington's zone 9 edges.
  • Q: How often should I water Echeveria Galaxy Blue?
A: Water every 10–14 days indoors during the growing season, letting the soil dry out completely. In winter, water once every 3–4 weeks to prevent rot.

Q: Is it safe around pets?
A: Echeveria Galaxy Blue is non-toxic and safe for cats and dogs, though the powdery farina on the leaves may cause mild skin irritation with repeated contact.

Q: What window direction works best for 'Galaxy Blue'?
A: Bright indirect light for at least 5–6 hours daily works well. South-facing windows can scorch the leaves without a sheer curtain between the plant and the glass.

Q: How big does it get?
A: 'Galaxy Blue' grows to about 4–6 inches in rosette diameter at maturity, making it compact and perfect for small containers.

Q: Can 'Galaxy Blue' survive a trip without water?
A: It can stay without water for up to ten days. In cool winter conditions when growth has slowed, it can go longer.

Q: How do I propagate it?
A: 'Galaxy Blue' propagates easily from leaf cuttings or offsets. Allow cut ends to callous for a day or two before setting them on well-draining soil; roots typically appear within 2–4 weeks.

    🌵 For Succulents
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging right away and follow the care instructions included with your order. Succulents prefer to dry out between waterings, so only water when the soil is completely dry.
Succulents are resilient plants and typically recover quickly once they settle into their new environment. Give them a few days to adjust before placing them in direct sunlight, and avoid fertilizing right away.
