  •   Callisia Repens Pink Lady Variegated (Turtle Vine / Pink Panther), also called Pink Panther, is a compact trailing succulent native to Central and South America, where it sprawls across tropical forest floors. This fast-growing houseplant has small oval leaves in shades of green, cream, and pink and requires minimal attention.

The leaves are tiny and oval, densely packed along cascading stems with a slightly waxy texture and neat, overlapping arrangement that earned it the nickname Turtle Vine. The pink variegation deepens most dramatically in bright indirect light, where the rosy tones become most pronounced, while stems grow thinner and leaf color fades in low-light settings. It develops a trailing habit that spills naturally from hanging containers, shelves, and macramé hangers.

In warmer months, small white to pale pink flowers bloom along the trailing stems, though blooms are modest and unscented. The plant grows indoors year-round in bedrooms, living spaces, and office environments, adapting well to LED lighting and low-light conditions typical of desk setups and interior rooms.

Move it outside in summer to a sheltered spot with bright indirect light, bringing it back indoors before temperatures drop in autumn. Rotate the pot regularly for even growth and position it away from air conditioning or heater vents to prevent browning tips. Keep it away from small children and pets, as the sap causes skin and paw irritation. Direct south-facing windows will scorch the leaves, so choose an east or north-facing placement indoors.

  •   Callisia Repens Pink Lady Variegated (Turtle Vine / Pink Panther) grows well in bright indirect light but adapts well to low-light conditions, including office LED lighting.

Water it every 7–10 days, allowing the top inch of soil to dry completely between waterings.

Callisia 'Pink Lady' does best in well-draining potting mix combined with perlite or coarse sand to prevent root rot.

It prefers temperatures between 60–85°F and should be kept away from frost.

Callisia 'Pink Lady' is a fast grower and benefits from balanced liquid fertilizer applied monthly during spring and summer.

It is hardy in USDA zones 9–11, where temperatures rarely drop below 20°F. It grows outdoors year-round in Florida, southern California, Texas, Arizona, Hawaii, Louisiana, southern Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and coastal areas of Nevada and Oregon. It also grows well outdoors in warmer pockets of New Mexico, Arkansas, and Gulf Coast regions, while growers in cooler states such as Colorado, Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan can enjoy it as an indoor or patio plant brought inside before the first frost.
  • Q: How often should I water Callisia Repens Pink Lady Variegated (Turtle Vine / Pink Panther)?
A: Every 7–10 days, letting the soil dry to the touch between waterings. Overwatering causes root rot, so err toward underwatering if unsure.

Q: Can the sap cause any skin irritation?
A: Callisia Repens Pink Lady Variegated (Turtle Vine / Pink Panther) sap irritates skin and causes reactions in cats and dogs, so keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Q: Does Callisia 'Pink Lady' need direct sunlight?
A: No. It thrives in bright indirect light but also tolerates office LEDs and dim corners. Direct south-facing sun scorches the leaves.

Q: How fast does it grow?
A: Callisia 'Pink Lady' grows quickly during spring and summer, producing new stems regularly when fed monthly with balanced fertilizer.

Q: Can I propagate Pink Panther?
A: Yes. Stem cuttings root easily in moist soil or water within a few weeks. Pinch off 2–3 inch sections from healthy trailing stems.

Q: Is this plant suitable for hanging baskets?
A: Pink Panther cascades naturally from hanging containers, macramé hangers, and elevated shelves where stems can trail over the edges.

    🌿 For Houseplants
When your package arrives, you may notice a bit of loose soil in the box. This is completely normal during shipping.
Please remove your plants from their packaging as soon as possible and review the care instructions included with your order. Water based on your plant’s needs, making sure not to overwater.
Houseplants may need a short adjustment period after arrival. Give your plant time to acclimate to its new space before placing it with other plants. You can gently clean the leaves if needed, and wait to fertilize until it has settled in. Always check soil moisture instead of watering on a fixed schedule.
*** We pack carefully to protect each plant during transit, so larger orders may arrive in multiple packages.
